I want all the collectors to have things in their collection that they want, but that said I paid out the nose for a lot of con items I missed out on, and part of what makes them special and unique is that they are limited and you had to attend the con to get them. For them to just start reissuing numbered collectibles years after they stopped producing them sort of defeats the whole point. Now something that isn't numbered like the FSS, the 3 3/4" Adventure Team, etc. I wouldn't mind if they remade those endlessly. I think the convention stuff is a separate story though.

They are already starting to look outdated in terms of the PoC/30th stuff:

I don't expect to see a straight re-release. The Club did however mention that if there was enough interest in figures from previous sets then, they might consider releasing them in a future FSS. With that said, I would like to see the various foreign figures- Blades, Starduster and Manleh, Redmack, Shimik, Topson and the Cobra DeAco released carded.
I mean, if they want to put a completely new version of an already done character (say red and silver Mortal) in the FSS, I think that would be fine. Maybe if the FSS really takes off they could have a second subscription that re-releases like 4-6 figures that they've done before every year to give people a chance to catch up. |

I have doubts the club will make a second run of Night Force figures. They did this with the OG set and they seemed to regret it for a while as they were sitting on a lot of them. I think they sold through most of the second run because they had unintentional variations that some collectors eat up. But they still do have some left which is really what they don't want.

I already have the set and all of the exclusives that year, but yes, I would be very happy to see a new set. It would not bother me despite owning the 2011 stuff. I really do not care of the secondary market value on this stuff and anything to get more fans involved the better in my opinion.

Would it really be that bad if they remade them with new parts ? Most of them are made using 25th parts. As long as it's atleast POC or newer parts. The 25th parts are extremely dated now. Who doesn't want a POC/30th Trooper/Officer in Python colors ? At the very least Python Patrol is in dire need of a update to bring it up to current standards.

My problem with that idea is that it would really screw over the long-time fans that have stuck with the club for years, because they would end up getting doubles of figures in the FSS that they already have.

I never consider figures as high end collectibles that should be limited. I recognize that sometimes they are limited but, that is due to the means of distribution. Let's remember though, they are after all just toys- they are meant to be fun and shared among everyone. That is part of the hobby and the true intention of collecting. |
