are you serious? with many customers probably vying to score that item on sale, what makes you so special that Wal Mart should give you a call? come one, now. maybe they should call you every time they get a new shipment of toys in that you want as well so you don't have to risk not finding them on the pegs. perhaps they can take your order and directly order from Hasbro for you.

So I think the consensus here is:
NO, you did not get screwed by Wal Mart but YES your expectations of them are through the roof. |

heck. some wal-mart around here actually jack up the prices first, then mark them down, to make `em look like it's on clearance.

hahaha. i just found this thread funny thats all. i think i can speak for everyone else who does not feel sorry one bit for you getting a $100 discount on a toy so that you can use it to "trade". And that they wouldnt call you to tell you when the price is coming down even more. Wow, talk about entitlement issues.

$64 is a great price. When gas was going down out here I paid $2.20 a gallon, (great price since paying $4.00 a couple of months before). But after paying the $2.20 I saw that I could of paid $1.88 at another station a couple of miles away. I didn't kick myself in the ass because I was still happy to pay the $2.20 over the $4.00. Anyway, I would have been happy to $99 for that Falcon if I had the room.

I simply stated that it "would have been nice" if someone had taken my number and called me. That would have been a good example of customer service. As I already stated, it is Wal-Mart that we're talking about and I don't really expect that kinda treatment. There was a time when stores would do this for customers. Even bigger stores used to do this. |

The Walmart employees in my area are astoundingly ignorant. I know it sounds mean to say but they must be just above retarded. If I can't find what i want I just leave without it. The only one who can even carry on a half intelligent conversation is the 90 year old lady that runs the Express checkout register.

Last year my wife and I found the Galactic Heroes cinema scene with the dagobah x-wing. When we went to purchase it the sell was restricted. We spoke to a couple of managers and they took our number and told us they would call when they found out what was going on. About a day later the manager called with an explanation. This was an example of good customer service and was something that he did not have to do. Some people at retail really do care about the customer regardless if they are getting paid enough or not. |
