Just thinking here and wondering, how may GI Joe team members should there be when the team is first being put together? Should there be 5 or maybe 13 guys. Perhaps even 50? I don't know depends if it surpass to be a small team or a full on army i guess. But if you were putting together the joes for the first time how many would you include

I'm not sure I understand the exact question...I mean if its your own personal team....you pick who you want.
But the original team was 13 members depending on continuity. In Marvel and the first 82 release there were 13 members...14 if you include General Flagg or DDP continuity 14 memebers (Shooter) plus Flagg. |

Well, realistically speaking... five is too small. Although I could see that being the number of people getting together to organize the first team. I guess it's just a matter of semantics as to whether that's the "first team" or not...
I just finished reading Colonel Charlie Beckwith's book about the formation of Delta Force... I think if I recall correctly, he started with about 20-25 guys or so who survived the first selection, then they instructed a bunch of other guys... they soon ended up with 100-200 I think after a few years. BTW, good read if you get the chance. Considering GI Joe was loosely based on them (they're even called Delta in Marvel's #1 issue), I'd say that's a good start. The way I figure, Hawk, Flagg and Stalker brought the first team members together, consisting of the Original 13. Flagg isn't really a member of the team, but the team falls under his command. I guess you could include "Shooter" if you want, too.
