Destro, easy. The comics (Marvel and DDP, haven't jumped into the new stuff yet) rolled so much into his character. The fact that he can play friend or foil to just about anyone in the mythos at any given time and still come out as being a man of his word is pretty damn awesome to me. I know a lot of folks are burned out on him due to the avalanche of figure versions (see what I did there?) but I'd love to see his classic look get the Ultimate treatment.

I have always been a fan of Snake-eyes. Back in the day before he had 900 figures, he was a cool character. I started collecting right after his v2 figure (with Timber) was phased out. So I had to wait a couple years for v3 to hit stores. Bit I always thought he was a great character. He and Storm Shadow complimented one another perfectly. The Yin to Storm Shadow's Yang.
Snake-eye was the soldier first, who just happened to also be a ninja. So he wore more standard military webgear and primarily used firearms, grenades, bombs, etc. And if he needed to use stealth, he had a sword. Storm Shadow, was the opposite. He was the ninja, who just also happened to be a soldier. He clothing reflected his Ninja clan heritage more so than Snake-eyes. He wore a ninja gi, and primarily used ninja weapons. Swords, daggers, throwing stars, Kama, bo, etc. But also carried a firearm as a back up. |

Gung-Ho. Dad was a Marine growing up.
Gung-Ho was the first Marine and the original Strong Man of the Team. (Of Course that didn't last long with Roadblock showing up but they were always buddies and he still kept that tough guy persona, and he didn't need Roadblock to help him. I always thought Dwayne Johnson would have made a better Gung-Ho and they could have got someone else even bigger for Roadblock.

Character? Zartan... Guess being autistic means I gravitate towards someone who can be anybody they want other than themselves.

Storm Shadow.
Cause he's a ninja that wears all white, even though ninjas are supposed to wear black. He just doesn't give a shit! Also, white being the color of purity/virtue/"good" in a lot of cultures, mostly associated withthe good guys....and he just says "screw it" and makes white the color of DEATH!! |

Snake Eyes. I got into Joes in 1986, So the 1985 Snake Eyes was one of my firsts. Then the 1989 figure became my favorite figure of all time, getting used so much that I actually bought a second one (at 9 years old) because I wore my first one out. Reading the comics during the Ninja force time frame only magnified my like of the character.
Stalker, Storm Shadow, and Rock & Roll were also among my favorites, as was Scarlett though I never had a good figure of her until I was an adult. |
