I'll keep buying vintage Joes that I don't have yet. Some day I wanna make that childhood dream of having everything come true. But I don't hardly display them anymore other than vintage vehicles. Thats the main reason I like the ARAH verisons with the modern figures. I can display them with out fear of breaking a waist or a hand or a foot or something, and they work with most of the vehicles.

I'll always love my ARAH vintage collection (what's left of it), but I prefer the new 25th/ME figures. I don't have to worry about o-rings breaking like all my figures from 2002-2005.

Most of the vintage stuff I get is the newer repainted stuff that was released 1997 onward. If I find good deals on that I still get that stuff. I haven't got anything vintage though in a while. I'd still like to get the black Serpentor that came with shock viper. I have one MOC but I want one loose. I'm too nervous to open it. so for me it is kinda two different things. I still have all of my figures I had when I was a kid in great condition so basically all I've ever had to get was stuff I never got that I wanted. I wish I kept all of my vehicles. I had a ton...including the hammerhead and the general and so much more...*sigh*.

I buy the vintage stuff when I stumble across them. For instance, I was walking past a local pawn shop and they had a bunch of toys out on the sidewalk. The Skystriker, Night Raven and Hydrofoil caught my eye and I picked them up for $2 a pop. All were missing most of their parts, but at that price, I figured I would either restore, customize or trade them at some point.

I will always buy Vintage Figures. ME is just boring to me. I have no real attachment to them. At least with the vintage stuff, there is that nostalgic feeling. I appreciate the ME stuff for helping keep the GI Joe brand alive, but it will never live on my shelf.

I still buy vintage.
The only modern ones I'm interested in right now are the vehicles. O-rings are easy to replace. I don't see what all the fuss is about.
