Forgive me if I've posted something like this before, but every year around Toy Fair I get the urge to personally thank the GI Joe design team for all their hard work.
It's evident how much they care about the figures. What others might see as simple mindless plaything for children, they take DAMN seriously. These figures are ART. They really took things to a new level for Pursuit of Cobra. Man, that stuff was just insane....the lengths they went to with accessories and sculpting and stuff. And now despite obvious cutbacks, they're still delivering the goods...FOR US. That perfect Cobra Commander and Storm Shadow and Firefly aren't for some little kid who wanders into the toy aisle in a wal mart in the midwest.......those are for US. The GI Joe team is giving us what we want. And they are doing an amazing job. There must be a way to send them a message directly, to thank them for their amazing work and let them know I appreciate it. Hasbro form letters sent from the website probably just get dismissed or thrown away by the marketing department. There must be a way to get directly to the artists responsible cause I think they deserve to hear praise straight from the horse's mouth. We've all complained about how Hasbro sucks at one point or another, for whatever reasons. But nobody here can fault the actual designers. They put their blood sweat and tears into these toys and it shows. I really want to thank them for that somehow, for their contributions to my little hobby which may seem insignificant in the grand scheme, but brings a lot of joy into my life. |

Good question. I'd like to do the same. It sucks when we see awesome stuff like this, but higher up decides it's not cost feasible. Hope this stuff actually makes it to retail.

Posting here is good enough. They do read the community forums. If you need proof, look no further than the announcements of Kwinn, Data Viper and the Eaglehawk this weekend.

To the Joe design team: THANK YOU!!! Your hard work is greatly appreciated; keep it up. I've been pretty happy with the figure designs since Valor vs. Venom, and appreciate the design improvements along the way. Other than reduced articulation, I can't say that I have an "all encompassing complaint", when it comes to the figures. As far as the vehicles go, my only "all encompassing complaint" would be their lack of space for multiple figures. The eaglehawk is a major step in correcting that issue. I hope a modern era APC is on the short list of future large vehicles. My modern era joe team has grown pretty large; now they need a way to get to the battle as a complete unit. Thanks again. Keep up the good work.

Dear Joe Team: I know I've had my complaints in the past. I've heard other people on this forum complain and I've agreed with them. But that's my selfish spoiled side coming out. But all in all, I can in noway do what you guys do. You are the true artists. You have made alot of excellent figures in the past and I know you will still deliver in the future. Thank you for all your hardwork and dedication to the Joe line.

Thank you to everybody at Hasbro that keeps the joe line alive. Thanks to your great work our hobby exists. Keep up the excellent work! Hey, and maybe if the movie makes a lot of money and these new figures fly off the shelves we can get a two seater Sky Striker down the line... I'm just throwing it out there.
