I have always wondered if Hasbro was inspired by the SR 71 to make the Raven? If not, anybody know what plane inspired the Raven.

Maybe the Cobra Raven was inspired by the MIG-31 Firefox from that Clint Eastwood movie.

It was probably more a variant of the SR-71, the D-21:

If you take a drawing of the sr-71 and put a transparent image of the Raven over the top of it, the lines are virtually identical. The only thing they changed are the engines and the nose area. I think the raven is a bit wider near the back too. I'm not sure. It's been awhile. Kind of neat if you give it a try.

I think it's based on one of the Team America's vehicles, from Team America: World Police. I'll see if I can find the image.
