Has the collectors club ever had a figure or set of figures get a repaint or redeco and used for a mass market release?
I like the joecon 2013 set but I think some of the figures should be released with the original colors. |

I think that the original colors scream FSS v.2 and maybe v.3

No, closest thing was the Moray hydorfoil club exclusive tiger force and blue decks then released at TRU in an urban paint scheme

I so hope they do that. It's easy money for them. Only I hope they do the FSS v.2 after a con and well before a con. Money is tight right now and paying for the FSS, club sub renewal and con set at practically the same time is borderline too much.

It's my understanding that the club owns whatever tooling they produce. So for example Psyche Out can never be released at retail in his original colors because Hasbro doesn't own the new tooling used on his head. However, the club could of course also release it in another color scheme later.
I know everyone loves the idea of all the Night Force stuff being redecoed in their original colors now, but I really hope if that happens they stagger the releases and maybe do 1 per subscription or something, because I don't want to re-buy half the con set a year later in different colors.

I don't know. Hasbro is pretty clear about owning anything and everything Joe or Tf. While they might respect the club they won't be limited by a club choice if they don't want to.
