As a fan of all things "Find Your Fate" & "Choose Your Own Adventure", etc., I wish I had never gotten rid of mine. I had several when I was a kid and I really enjoyed them. I have a sizable "Choose Your Own Adventure" collection now (about 60 books or so) and I still read them occasionally. I need to get me some of the GI Joe "Fate" books again.

My brother and I had a few of these, and I seem to recall a transformers one with dinobots in it as well? That and the Joe coloring books we had seem to have disappeared. Might be at my parents still, or lost to a garage sale?

I had three or four of those. They were great. I also had like 10 of the "choose your own adventure" books. Good stuff. The" Find your Fate" books were similar and licensed some properties. I had 2-3 Transformers books in addition to my Gi Joe books. Ah the 80's . . .

I vaguely remember reading ONE of these that my sister got for me to borrow from one of her elementary school teachers... it was whichever title where YOU, the main character, were "Compass," because that has always stuck with me all these years. I really don't remember much about that story, except for one of the scenarios ended up with my 'chute failing to deploy, so I had to "steer" myself during free fall to a comrade's deployed shoot and try to get on top of it to slow my descent. Good stuff! I THINK the cover had Lt. Falcon on it, and I THINK they were in the snow somewhere... but that part of the memory of it is a little foggy. Would actually be really interested in reading a few of these now... particularly the one I just mentioned!

Well, if anyone has some that they are looking to get rid of let me know. I think I'd like to build a whole set of these.

I was suprised to find R. L. Stine (Goosebumps) wrote some of these. The one I had was written by Megan Stine and H. William Stine |
