I couldn't find a nice comprehensive list of materials that folks use to repair, maintain, and customize their collections, and since I just got back from the store with my favorite flavor of o-rings, I figured I'd try to start one.
I did manage to find 1 closed thread on custom painting that specified products people preferred, here:I've read in numerous threads that people use peroxide to un-yellow parts. Others have found black accessory hoses or those little clear ME rubber bands or the perfect screws for legs. Etc, etc. Please feel free to share the details here so others can benefit.

The o-rings that I use and love are:
Danco #9 O-Ring 5/8" O.D. x 7/16" I.D. x 3/32" Part Number 96726 Easily found at Lowes. About $2.70 for a box of 10.

Vintage black hose looks to be available over at smalljoes.com in 1, 4, and 10 foot lengths.
GI JOE Repair Parts Does anyone know if they are thicker like the old hoses or thin and easily crimped like the ones that came with the POC Techno Viper?

I think it's more like the POC Techno Viper hose, also they're not glossy like the original hoses.

I actually was wondering one day at work what the EXACT O-ring was that Hasbro used. The figures were made in China/Taiwan, so I figured they HAD to be metric O-rings. Anyway, I checked in our stockroom and a P11 metric O-ring seemed to be the right one for sure. I also looked it up, and it almost exactly matches the specs you gave. So, that has to be the right one. P11 O-ring ID - 10.80mm or 0.425" (7/16" is 0.4375") Thickness - 2.4mm or 0.094" (3/32 is 0.094") |

That's damn close to what I thought the correct size was!
