I noticed a whole lot of you are crazy into rasslin'. I'm just wondering what the connection is? Is it because of Sgt. Slaughter? Is it the creative baddies? I can't stand wrestling myself, but I got to thinking about it because of this thread. So drop your 2 cents here!

I guess they both appealed to kids at that age?...I stopped watching wrestling when I was 12, But I can still watch me some joes. Hey, if you like wrestlin' cool, it's just NOT for me. It feels like a soap opera for men in Tights, which is a little weird to me, but hey to each his own.

who knows... it was prob just the big 80's wrestling influence...you know, it manifested into many other avenues. Or something. I personally have no interest (and never did) in wrestling, so there's probably a better answer out there from someone who *does* have a wrestling interest!

I was always a wrestling fan. Sarge being part of GI Joe was just a bonus to me.

I think its just what was cool and big in the 80's. Wrestling is not what it once was though back in the 80's and early 90's at all. You no longer have those "Real American" heroes anymore like you did back then. It was simple on who was a good guy and who was a bad guy. Now the lines are so blurred, kids are all effed up in the head, lol.
