For one thing, it's gotta be too early for movie figures.
I see nothing that would make these movie figures come out any earlier than any other movie figure toy lines. As far as the expanse is concerned... My Local, and not-so-local, Target stores have had 6 pegs for JOES in about 3 feet of shelf space from the very beginning of the 25th/ modern era. Whether those pegs were always full is a different story. I don't see this as a huge expanse. Since out by where I am. The stores started with 6 pegs of singles. 3 rows of 2, from top to bottom. Then added 2 pegs for comic packs later on, 1 row of 2. For a total of 8. Which means if this planogram only ads 2 extra pegs. It's not that big of a deal. Also 3 feet has been the norm for shelf space out here. 1 extra foot? Again, no big deal. Really only means less cramming of vehicles and DVD packs, which I always see jammed in together. And new Transformers have not hit yet, and they will be reset before the JOE and TRANSFORMER movies, which makes at least ANOTHER 1 or 2 resets to come. And Transformers will be huge. Is this shelf space deal wishful thinking? Has anyone else had the exact amount of shelf space I describe above from the lines inception? |

it seems like everytime they do a reset at my local walmart or target, they add a extra row of comic packs or last time it was for the combat heroes so i dont think the new space will be for movie figures, mabe they will be getting more room for vehicles or adding more single cards.

Stores have been all different around here. Rarely are any the same as they were from the beginning. One Target that has been the same has only have 3 pegs for singles and 2 for comics. However, for half a year or more another Target has had the 3 foot area for all Joe items. Wal-Mart is the same way. One Wal-Mart that didn't even stock Joes the first year, got a huge amount of space a year ago. They had 8 pegs for singles and 6 for comics....then the Iron Man toys came out and they cut that space in half. Another Wal-Mart has had basically the same 3 pegs for singles and 2-3 for comics.

It will be interesting to see what these sections look like once the movied toys come out. If there are really big vehicles/playsets coming out, where are they gonna put them?

Yeah, I imagine it matters whether or not they will....
~continue to stock DVD packs ~continue to stock 5 packs ~continue to stock Combat Heroes ~stock Mighty Muggs We know they will keep vehicles, 12 inch, singles and comic packs at the larger Wal-Marts. |
