CoD/Modern Warefare GI JOE style?
I dont know if someone has already mentioned this here and this is just me wishing, but how cool would it be to have a 1st person shooter of the classic RAH by the team that created MW2 or even MW3 for that matter? The maps could be based on so many environments from the cartoon (and comic): Zartan's Amusment Park of Terror (Bayou World or whatever it's called), Cobra Temple, Terror Drome, Black Water Prison, Palace of Doom, Devil's Cauldron, Roof of the World, Springfield, The Pit, Silent Castle, Ft Wadsworth, Space Station Delta...The options for maps are infinite. And of course the weapons would be based on the ones that came with the figures. Perks could be tailored to represent certain characteristics of certain characters, and kill streaks could involve Skystrikers, Dragonflies, Firebats, Mobats, etc..I dont know about anyone else, but this would be a GI Joe/gamer fan's wet dream. if only we could all convince the original guys from Infinity Ward to try to secure the rights to such a game.....i guess i will have to continue to just pretend I am killing Cobras when I play CoD games until then |

I'd love it. Playing Black Ops 2 really makes me see how it could work with the semi-futuristic weapons and tech.
Buuuuut, I don't think it would nearly sell enough for anyone to take interest in making it. Maybe if Retaliation does really really well at the box office... |

I love the COD games, especially the Modern Warfare ones. But the problem with a first person shooter is, naturally, that you can't see your character. And with G.I. Joe, you really need to be able to see them to enjoy the game. So I'd rather have a GTA style game. Where it's a third person look, and you can see your character and all the vehicles that he could drive. Maybe they could have a zoom feature that would take you into first person. Just imagine a GTA style map, with the G.I. Joe HQ at Fort Wadsworth, and on the other side of the map you could have Springfield with a bunch of hidden Cobra bases.

I always imagined a game like this would have you be a person that was recently recruited into Joe, and you would fight alongside the rest of the Joes.
And then the multiplayer would just have you playing as various Greenshirts VS Cobra Troops/Crimson Guards/Dreadnoks/Whatever. |

I've always thought of the ill-received Bodycount game as the closest thing out there to a GI Joe FPS. Even the main adversary is reminiscent of Cobra. If only that game could've been fleshed out a bit better....

since it is obviouse we will never get a decent joe game, i have often suggested just using the star wars battlefront format.

Which is what I would like to see. Hasbro management will never sign-off on a 1st Person Shooter with the GI Joe brand, but something like Battlefront (which is what the RoC game should have done rather than Contra) might have a chance. Especially if they stick to ARAH + Retaliation skin options for characters and laser guns from the TV show.
