Hello everyone,
I recently began putting new o-rings in many of my vintage figures that were getting loose. I have a few figures that have rusted screws that became stripped when I try to take them apart. What can I do to get these apart? Also where can I but extra screws for them? Cheers, Michael Dane Gemus aka Rentyn |

Though I'm not a pro, I've done a few things with stripped screws. Sometimes a small hex-type screwdriver will work, and on one occasion, I've put just a little crazy glue on the tip of a screwdriver , put it in the stripped screw, let it set, and it slowly unscrew it.

The Hex-Type screwdriver has worked for me before.
I've tried the glue and it didn't work, I'va also tried the drill method (Drill the head of the screw off and then the torso will seperate) But the heat build-up from the friction of the drill against the screw warped the inside of the torso. Don't forget to spray a little WD-40 on the screw before you try to take them out |

I have a tendency to frequent flea markets and buy junk figures that have clean screws. That way they are original (depending on years) and look like they belong on a figure. They are also good for spare O-rings for 83/84 CC...since that ring size is so bizarre.
