101708.6599-1987 GI JOE CROSSFIRE ALPHA MIB BOX MINT - eBay (item 120335210871 end time Dec-12-08 17:01:20 PST)
I got the seller to take my offer (alot less than he wanted) (just a little more than I wanted to pay) But it is complete and has original packaging (beat up as it is) I have wanted one of these since I saw it in 88, and I never see them online for sale (atleast ones that still work / come with the r/c controller. If you have a crossfire too I wanna know (Just curious about how rare these things are / how many are out there) If you also have one for sale/trade let me know as I would like to keep this one as moc as possible.

I got one for Christmas back when they were out. Haven't seen one since then. They must be fairly rare. Also, don't expect it to be super fast. Mine was incredibly under powered, if I remember correctly.

I remember seeing these in stores. I never was too interested. They sold pretty poorly, I still recall seeing it at a Hills for $8.00 on clearance and still not wanting it.

Hi,
I have one too. Found it back in 2003 in a flea market for $5, missing a couple of missiles and the figure. I bought the figure and missiles a few years ago. Oh, I got the alpha version. Not sure how rare these are. I did remember seeing them being sold in the 80's on the Home Shopping Club. |

The difference is the radio frequencies. If you had two of the same radio controlled cars next to each other, the signals would get crossed and both cars start acting erratically. So they made two versions with different frequencies so that you could have two Crossfires racing next to each other
