If Hasbro was to take GIJoe back to an Adventure Team type style, who would you like the team be made up of.
Duke (Man of Action) Flint (Adventurer) Beachhead (Adventurer) Roadblock (Adventurer) Torpedo (Sea Adventurer) Ripcord (Air Adventurer) |

I would want them to create all new characters for the new Adventure Team with cool sounding names instead of code names. Names like Stiff Drink and Max Hazard.

Yeah, I think new characters, not for the names but so they could have bios that are more aimed at exploration, science/engineering, etc. rather than completely military (though that would no doubt also be part of it).
Quite a bit of mileage in expanding the land adventurer (into multiple figures or at least outfits + kit) I'd have thought. E.g.: jungle, desert, savannah, arctic, mountaineering, caving, etc., etc. |

No idea about names, but something like this (because this is what I'd find interesting [and still do!]):
Sea Adventurer: * Trained marine Engineer * Former SEAL or SBS, scuba deep diving expert (Deep diving - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) * Involved with recent Challenger deep missions as a technical consultant (i.e. The Race to Inner Space - Triton 36,000 Full Ocean Depth, www.deepsearch.org, DeepFlight Challenger - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, Deepsea Challenger - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) Air/Space adventurer: * Aeronautical engineer. * Former test pilot, involved in the design and flight tests of the Scaled Composites SpaceShipOne (Scaled Composites: SpaceShipOne) * Expert parachutist, also involved with the Red Bull Strator project (Home | Red Bull Stratos) * Should probably put something in about high altitude ballooning as that's also cool! Land Adventurer 1 * Climbing, caving and potholing expert * Has climbed Everest * Part of the mission that explored the Krubera-Voronja cave system (deepest cave in the world) * Part of the Woodville Karst Plain Project (WKPP) (Woodville Karst Plain Project - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) diving and mapping caves running between Florida and the Gulf of Mexico. Now we start moving away from my interests, so these need quite a bir more work (and the ones above certainly still need work too!) Arctic Adventurer * Former something military with cold weather specialism (I'd say Royal Marine, but you guys in the US might want something more US-centric) * Has trekked to the North and South poles. * Research interests - glaciology, extreme weather clothing, meteorology (easy to collect on the Antarctic plains). I'm not sure what direction to go in for this character. Others needed: Desert Specialist - involvement in Mars Rover development (e.g. on Atacama Desert)? I'm sure there are lots of interesting things about deserts, just that I don't know much about what research might be ongoing. Jungle Specialist - I imagine exploring the jungles of South America and Indonesia would quite happily qualify here. Expert biologist and botanist. Need to flesh out what he has done and what he's currently doing. So those are my thoughts thus far, am I heading along a direction that people like? It's not quite Adventure Team I realise (we never had that here, so I'll need to re-read about it), but on-going projects seem to me to be a better source of inspiration for adventure scenarios and general play. |

THAT sounds really awesome. but waaay to 70's/80's to make it past the censors. I think we would see Leaf Cleanair and Sam Safety if they hit the shelves today But I like yours better!
