Remember those times...
When you went to the store, and the new years Joes were out. You just walked in on a fresh case.... and man, there it is! The figure all of your friends have been dying to get.... Firefly, Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes, Quick Kick, Torpedo... whoever it happened to be. Looking at that explosion artwork for the first time... Man, what a feeling! Fast forward 25 years later... you have the same thing. Finding the new wave... having money to buy them. Seeing those explosion backs again... just like the good 'ol days... Fast forward five years... your Walmart just started carrying Pursuit of Cobra, and there he is, Lowlight, or Shadow Tracker, or Money Bags Destro... You're the first one on the 'tank to find him. You'll be front paged... a great feeling!!! Fast forward one year. If figures are there... they're bad. Nothing new for almost a year. Nothing compelling to look at in the other lines. OMG, it's like 1995 all over again! What's the fun in that! |

I wasn't collecting Joes in '95. I quit around '89, graduated HS in '94, and didn't reenter until '07, so I can't say I know anything about how '95 felt RE: Joes. But the good news is that we KNOW, or at least are fairly certain, that we're getting some Joes come February. I wonder if folks who collected up to 1994 wondered if Joes were gone for good in 1995?

1995 was perhaps the most unprofitable year in wwf history.

Oh yeah. 1995 was the year I met my future wife, and for Christmas she bought me some POTF stuff!

After his Rumble apperance the previous year, I never imagined he'd be so boring as champ. I have a friend who met him at the airport, and he said he was super nice. His reputation in wrestling, though... scary. Eddie Guererro really slammed him in his book.
