Since the beginning of the year I've been trying to get my disability and have had no income. This pretty much means no joes. Well today I was out with my parents and my dad gave me the money to pick up a set of Dollar General figures. This is one of the better days I've had in a while and i have awesome parents to thank for it.
Who else has awesome parents? |

My Dad (who is 70) has been helping me cut up trees from the big storm that went through last week. 70 years old and running a chainsaw like a 30 year old.
Not the same as yours, but yeah, awesome parent. |

My parents are pretty cool. I'm a very lucky guy.
My Mom bought me the "Transformers Field Guide" for Christmas one year, a 1/18 General Lee (because I loved that show as a kid), and she just got me a Three Stooges sign for my birthday a few weeks back. My old man kicks ass too. He's helped me pay off loans, replace the roof on my shed, etc. etc. You name it - he's there for me. Hell, he even bailed me outta jail at 4AM in the morning back in 2007. That doesn't even begin to describe how great my parents are, those are just a couple thoughts off the top of my head... Last edited by Cobra Terrorist; 07-03-2012 at 09:54 PM.. |

A large part of my toy collection has actually been thanks to my parents. Hell, my mother picked me up a Skystriker one day.
Just last week we were at a Dollar General and she grabbed me a SE, SS, Duke and Cobra Trooper.

My parents will have been married for 40 years next month. They've been there for me no matter what during 38 of them.
And... they got me the USS Flagg for my 12th birthday back in 1986.

I would like to thank my mom for getting me addicted to Joes back in the 80's. If it wasn't for her enticing me with these little army guys when I was a kid, I'd probably be collecting Batman figures or something. Gross!

The convention and NOLA trip was my parents B-day gift for me this year. My Dad served as my Aide. If it weren't for them starting me on GI Joe at age three in June of 86, I probably would've never gone into collecting in 97. So I would like to thank my parents for starting me on my life long love of GI Joe.

Not even going to say a bad word here. I was lucky to grow up with the "cool" parents and damn well knew it.
My mom checks the Joe section every time she hits Wall Mart and calls me with a breakdown of what they have for sale
