I certainly have no shortage of bad things I could say about my experience of New Orleans as a city, but as for the con itself I had an absolute blast. Loved the hotel, the exclusives, all the people I met, the Hasbro reps, the costumes, got some great pick ups, the panels were all interesting, what we got of the reveals were all really solid stuff. I really have nothing bad to say, sure we had to wait in long lines and all that crap, but that just comes with the territory. Overall, I would say I maybe (by a hair) enjoyed last year's con a little more, but I definitely had an awesome time, and I'm certainly bummed it's over because it went by in a flash.

In a nut shell, it just wasn't really my scene. I still had a hell of a time though, food was great, people were mostly friendly, etc. That's really only a commentary on my brief impressions of the town, the convention itself was a fantastic experience.

Well, I don't want to derail the positivity of this thread (because there is another one for the negative aspects) but in short...it's filthy, it smells, it's overpriced, basically it's sketchy as hell. I did my fair share of walking around town, including Bourbon street on Friday night, and it was a disgusting mess of drunks, hookers, and all other assorted types of debauchery.

I won the last door prize of the last day. I don't plan on ever opening it.
I have passed on this thing so many times, the sheer irony of me winning it was, well glorious...

I'm guessing the next con will be in the west. Last 3 have been east or centrally located.
