Thread rules:
1. Post your thoughts or ideas about G.I. Joe that most collectors would consider heresy. 2. You can't criticize anyone else's post (but you can agree with/discuss it). For me, it's ARAH-era Joes. I loved them when I was a kid; I can't stand them now. They look goofy with those big heads, and the articulation and tooling is crap compared to the modern era toys. Also, I liked the RoC toys. They look a lot better than the 25th stuff, and led directly to the beloved PoC line. I even liked the vehicles.

Just because someone made it to the store before I did, doesn't make them scalper.

Agreed. I also think collectors who buy vast multiples of the same figure for no real reason hurt the hobby just as much as scalpers.

Is building up an unbeatable army not considered a real reason? ;)

If you have several boxes of unopened toys in your basement, you are a hoarder not a collector.

Fanboys love to bitch about "they killed ARAH for this?" when the line had been dying for years. One of my own: Snake Eyes has become the Wolverine of G.I. Joe. Overpowered, one dimensional and everywhere. |
