That flagg would be slightly over 60 feet long for 1:18 scale. 62.4 feet long to be exact. That is as long as a mobile home.

I believe I read somewhere that the Flagg was done on the HO scale which is used for model trains

I did the math as well, just over 60 feet and width would be about 16 feet at its largest. 8 feet at its narrowest near the bow. I also estimate the superstructure to be about 3 feet tall off the deck and about 4 foot long. My kids go to a school where they do bingo on Sundays and the tables are about 8 foot x 4 foot, my idea was to show them just how big an aircraft carrier is compared to the scale of the gi joe sky striker and TH f-18 hornet. Configuring about 16 tables (2 rows of 8 tables end to end, then 1 row of 5 tables on the port/starboard side) ...yes, that girl would be huge, but think of the scale and the actual jaws hitting the floor! One could use plain black wrapping paper for the deck and grey wrapping paper for the side-have it angled from the lip of the table to the center supports. Regular masking tape could be used to line the flight deck and show runway and elevator sections. Now all I need is permission to do it.
