I could have done without the Duke/Baroness thing.
The language didn't really bother me. It was used at appropiate (relatively speaking) moments. It's not like they dropped the F-bomb and used it as an adjective. The only times I heard the S-word was when Scarlett's bike was about to blow up and when the missiles were launching at Duke and Ripcord. I suppose that's better then just using it when talking, know what I mean?

I hear you, and obviously, as a minister, I have strong convictions about foul language... especially in front of children. I think there are genuinely very few situations - if ANY - where foul language is really necessary. And considering that it was never necessary in the old cartoon - and we all loved it - it isn't necessary now.
The Duke Baroness romance was such a departure that it was detracting. Duke being an Officer (though they totally messed up his rank in the flashback), and the Baroness being an American were weird, but I could live with them... putting them in a relationship was strange... as was the whole Scarlett/Rip-Cord thing. I just saw no reason whatsoever to change the old mythology... including the Snake-Eyes/Storm Shadow story. It wasn't the worst movie ever, but it was weird. It really wasn't for the old fans, and at the same time, it wasn't all that family friendly for the kids. It was just not the G.I. Joe that I know... it was something new. I did like the new Duke, he just wasn't "Duke". The new Rip-Cord was good... just not Rip-Cord. All of them were fine... just not the Joes I know by the same names. And I suppose that is what is really bothering me. The movie, in and of itself, was OK... it was like the Mummy in modern military clothing - what did we expect with Sommers directing it? It just wasn't Hama's Joeverse, or the old cartoon. But neither was Sigma 6, and neither was Resolute... I guess I should just come to terms with the fact that the 80's are over ;)

So I added my Steel Brigade unit to my Joe organizational document.
I also gave them a vehicle: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/toys/4...ep-target.html So now I know what to use it for. I figure it makes a good vehicle to use in the city, fast and manuerveurable, not big or bulky. It's a good desert vehcile, but already got the AWE Striker for that. I call it the Blockrunner. So my SB unit: Steel Brigade: OIC: 2IC: Fireteam 1: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Fireteam 2: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Fireteam 3: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Blockrunner 1: XXXX XXXX XXXX Blockrunner 2: XXXX XXXX XXXX I'll probably add a mobile command center of some kind (think SWAT command van). And could use a troop carrier. Not sure if I want 6 or 4 man teams. I think 4 man works better for in-building combat.

Nice Jeep. I've seen that thing several times, and you got a great deal. That's a great vehicle for your Steel Brigade. I use the RHINO and the ROCC as my mobile HQ for Steel Brigade, and I use the Tonka Steel Brigade Pickup Trucks from the 90's... I have 3 of them. Plus the Steel Brigade Sky Hawk for Air Support if they need it.
Basically, I organize them like this... Bullet Proof - CO Gung-Ho - SGM Steel Brigade Paratroopers (Airborne Urban Assault Force) Steel Brigade Commander - CO Dragonsky - Platoon Sgt. 10 Steel Brigade Airborne Troopers Steel Brigade Marines (Amphibious Urban Assault Force) original Gold Head Steel Brigade Commander 1st Squad - Checkpoint: Squad Leader 6 TRU Hulk Tunnel Clash troops 2nd Squad - Rook: Squad Leader 6 TRU Hulk Tunnel Clash troops 3rd Squad - Red Zone: Squad Leader 6 TRU Hulk Tunnel Clash troops 4th Squad - Original Steel Brigade figure: Squad Leader 6 TRU Hulk Tunnel Clash troops Steel Brigade Special Operations Sgt. Stone: Team Leader 8 PIT Commandos It's a pretty simple set up. Steel Brigade attacks a city by seizing all its ports and important targets. The Airborne Steel Brigade would seize power plants and airfields. The Steel Brigade Marines would seize the ports, docks, and bays. Then they would set up a parameter and start clearing the city. The Special Forces team would move into start hitting specific targets or persons of interest. My SWAT team could be tasked by my Joe Special Operations Command to go into the area for specific missions/targets that would be outside the mission scope of Steel Brigade. In other words, my SWAT Team was never there, officially.

Nice set-up Oliver. I need to add to my SB, lol.
Next week when get paid, I'll have to see how much the Hulk sets are down to in clearance. Got a couple left at my local TRU.

Things I learned from the filecards:
1. Beachhead does not use deodorant. Ever. 2. Big Ben is with the 22 SAS but all 6 versions of him never wore the sand colored SAS beret and the SAS pattern parachute wings 3. Snake Eyes is proficient in 12 martial arts 4. Snake Eyes has a tattoo described as a "hexagram" -- actually a chinese I Ching Hexagram -- six stacked horizontal lines of alternating Yang (an unbroken, or solid line), or Yin (broken, an open line with a gap in the center). His hexagram means "Already Fording" or ""already completed" or "already done" 5. Tunnel Rat is Trinidadian Chinese with bits of Irish, Spanish and Indian mixed in. 6. Snake Eyes has changed rank from 1982's V1: E5 (Sergeant) to V38: E7 (Sergeant First Class) to ROC's Classified Grade.

the secret is out, hasbro coats each figure with an extreamly addictive substance that will make anyone who touched these figures toi want to collect them well into their 70's, by then there will be armies of joe fans with flagg's and when hasbro rings the bell all will gather together to take over the non collectors, which means mexico better get ready.

I got the RHINO today. Not a bad vehicle at all. Makes a good mobile command center type vehicle with attached recon unit.
Maybe not as good as the ROCC since there isn't so much "command center" space as there is troop carrier space, but it'll work.
