no, from what I've read, he remembers. In one of the last stories, the last one where the Red Shadows came back, Jackel!Destro plots with Black Major to take down Cobra Commander, iirc.

So I am attempting to figure out the most logical MOS's for all of the Joes according to information contained within their filecards. I also used info from Zuludelta and from a website someone had linked earlier (halfbattle.com). Tyroc also did an excellent job on coming up with MOS's for Stalker, Steeler and Short-Fuze (still patiently awaiting the rest of the Original 13).
Anyway here is what I got so far. The first two are from what Tyroc came up with: Stalker: 11B Infantryman then 18D Special Forces Medical Sergeant then 18F Special Forces Assistant Operations and Intelligence Sergeant. Short-Fuze: 12B Combat Engineer then 18B Special Forces Weapons Sergeant Steeler: 19A Armor Officer, 13A Field Artillery Officer or 88A Transportation Officer. Obviously would not be all three. Breaker: 25C Radio Operator-Maintainer, 11B Infantryman, and/or 18E Special Forces Communications Sergeant Grunt: 11B Infantryman, 13F Fire Support Specialist, and/or 91F Small Arms/Towed Artillery Repairer Zap: 11B Infantryman/12B Combat Engineer, and/or 18C Special Forces Engineer Sergeant Snake-Eyes: 11B Infantryman and/or 18C Special Forces Engineer Sergeant Clutch: 11B Infantryman and/or 88M Motor Transport Operator Rock'n'Roll: 11B Infantryman and/or 18B Special Forces Weapons Sergeant Hawk: 14A Air Defense Artillery Officer Scarlett: 35F Intelligence Analyst then moves to 35L Counterintelligence Special Agent Grand Slam: 94H TMDE Maintenance Support Specialist, 94Y Integrated Family of Test Equipment (IFTE) Operator/Maintainer, 94F Computer/Detection Systems Repairer,13B Cannon Crewmember, and/or 13F Fire Support Specialist Flash: 11B Infantryman, 18E SF Communications, 74D CBRN Specialist, 91G Fire Control Repairer, and/or 94Y Integrated Family of Test Equipment (IFTE) Operator/Maintainer Obviously not all the characters would go into every MOS listed (looking mainly at Flash and Grand Slam). I am trying to find the most logical MOS's that they would be in. Thoughts? |

I like Breaker, Snake-Eyes, and Rock'n'Roll as Special Forces.
Not sure about Grunt. He has to be INfantry, but how does he do the other two concurrently? I think 11B with SMall Arms Repairer seems more like his character. Zap doesn't strike me as SF, but I think 18C is a great way to combine both Engineer with INfantry. Or a 19D Cavalry Scout. Clutch? Can't decide. Grand-Slam and Flash are tough.

But that's all dependent on whether or not you want his primary responsibility to be as a combat engineer or as a heavy weapons operator. |

A lot of those look good, John, although it always bothered me that Clutch's PMS is Transportation, since that's a combat support role. He could've been a cavalry scout or just an infantry driver in a scout platoon.

He's one I actually DO think has an SF background, particularly if you consider the timing of Joe's release. Given his EOD knowledge and familiarity around nuclear weapons (Marvel ARAH #4), I figure he had a role in Project Green Light, being trained to deploy "backpack nukes" (Think Like a Green Beret: Exfil | The Loadout Room and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Specia...ition_Munition). While that task, under that name, has been cancelled, I would assume there's still a similar task out there so it could still be applicable.
But that's all dependent on whether or not you want his primary responsibility to be as a combat engineer or as a heavy weapons operator. Definitely and it has bothered me as well. 88M's mainly drive larger trucks and transport troops and materials around (from what I have read). Standard Infantry Platoons assign their own drivers within their own Platoon (meaning 11B's get assigned behind the wheel). I may make him as starting out his Army career as an 88M then when his service time is up he re-enlists as an 11B. Maybe his new Platoon Sergeant recognizes his driving skills (from his time racing and his former MOS as an 88M) and has him take the wheel of one of the Platoon's Humvee's. From there he goes on to take more advanced offensive and defensive driving classes (someone posted them a while back I believe). His filecard states he is Ranger-qualified but maybe he also gets assigned to the 75th Rangers as well (maybe goes from an 88M, then 11B, then RASP, then 75th, then Ranger School?). |
