Excellent point. To draw up a parallel, I think one of the main reasons I've lost interest in Wolverine (the X-Men character) is the way they've revealed his "secret past" over the years (coincidentally, starting with the latter half of Larry Hama's run on the original Wolverine on-going comic book). Sometimes, the reality (even a putative and fictional one) just can't measure up to all the stuff we've imagined over the years, and even if it does, the "loss of mystery" sometimes decreases certain characters' appeal.

I was actually gonna use Wolverine as part of my argument but I couldn't figure out how to word it. And I guess my not like Bob Wilson is because to me it's such a generic sounding name and would kinda be a let down. I guess my view on Snake Eyes is I wonder what his name is but at the same time I don't think I want to ever know his name. I mean I like parts of Wolverine: Origins(the comic) but I also don't care for some of it. I mean I didn't like the fact that the movie leaves Rose out. And how about White Noise for an arctic code name. Or maybe Snow Man, but this name also kinda implies the samething as Snow Job. I was actually think of soething to do with the Abominable Snow Man when I thought of it.

Yeah, Sneak Peek and Pathfinder are great choices. Good catch, by the way on Armadillo's file card. That's such a weird secondary MOS for him to have.

I have no doubt that Outback can be a sneaky fellow, but why do you think he would be better than some other Joes?

The thing about Wolverine now that bothers me, they say his name is James Howlett but he's not the son of Howlett, he's the son of the groundskeeper Thomas Logan.
His name should be James Logan.

Well, I often wondered in what kind of unit Outback would fit best. And I think recon is right up his alley because he's a survivalist instructor and recon men spend a lot of their time operating in harsh climates and rough terrain with little to no resupply. His file card doesn't provide much information on the sort of role he plays when he's not instructing, so I think LRS/recon or high altitude/mountainous missions would suit him.

@oliverbox: You can add Battleforce 2000's Blocker to your list of recon specialist Joes. His primary MOS is "mechanized recon" (which I assume means he's a Cavalry Scout).

Why not any of the Jungle Experts as i see them all performing Recon to some degree.
Muskrat Wreckage Big Brawler Then Ambush for sure. And I think Starduster's MOS is Transportable Air Recon. Although he might not fit in with the Blue? |
