Oh, now I get to show off a little bit ;)
Earlier this year, I found an interesting auction on ebay... It was a prototype version of the Night Force 6-Pack from a few years ago, but this prototype version had a different color scheme on the figures' pants. Not only that, but the Action Man figure wasn't Action Man - he was a Night Force version of Tracker (That's right, they fixed his uniform after all this time!) I'm excited to tell y'all about these figures. They are the pride of my collection. Very rare. Let me see if I have pics...

Tiger Force - Jungle Warfare (Stationed in Sierra Gordo) Desert Patrol Squad (and I added the Anti-Venom 6-pack to supplement their numbers, because the Anti-Venom 6-Pack was desert colored anyway) - stationed in Truscal Abysmia Steel Brigade - Urban Warfare. Deployable anywhere SEALs - Amphibious Assault Operations. Stationed on the Flagg Sky Patrol - basically function as my USAF Combat Control/PJ Team. Deployable anywhere. SWAT Team - works primarily with Steel Brigade. Deployable anywhere. Night Force - is basically my answer to Delta Force. Deployable anywhere. Top Secret. Anti-Terrorist, Hostage Rescue, Night Infiltration/Assault. Best of the Best. As a side note, I have personally attached v2 Low-Light to this team. It just seemed to make sense to me based on his paint, and specialty. I don't use any sub teams that I have personally put together. My Regular Infantry unit also has a Ranger/L.R.R.P. team for the Rangers who are not already assigned to a sub team.

Oliver, how do you handle characters that are in different sub-teams?

However, if you're choosing any Joes, and 9-man team is a squad... 1. Claymore: Commander 2. Flint: X-O 3. Beach-Head: alpha fire team leader 4. Tunnel Rat 5. Repeater: Machine gunner 6. Stalker: Bravo team Leader 7. Torpedo 7. Roadblock: Machine Gunner 9. Low-Light: Squad Sniper (would work independently to cover them and take out assigned targets). Just my opinion.

You know.. I'm adding Wild Bill (the "Night Force" version from the TRU SRO pack) and Crankcase to my special ops infiltration/insertion teams.
Both have extensive special forces training (Crankcase is a Ranger and went to Jungle Warfare school; Wild Bill served as an LRRP) and have special tactical vehicle training. So they are trained Rangers and pilot/driver. Having them along would allow the teams to have means of getting out (commandeering a plane/helicopter or a ground vehicle). I was already going to put Wild Bill into my helicopter insertion, but think I'll be adding Crankcase as well.

I assign a Priority Status to them. For Example, Tunnel Rat is on Tiger Force and the Desert Patrol Squad. So, I've assigned his priority status to Tiger Force, but he can go over to assist the DPS if they need him... sort of like he's the DPS Reserve if that makes any sense. Night Force works differently, as I said above it's my Delta Force equivalent. They pull their members for their missions. So, let's use Tunnel Rat as the example again: Tunnel Rat's down in Sierra Gordo with Tiger Force, doing his thing - recon, training, etc. - and an encrypted priority message comes across the net to the Tiger Force Intelligence Office (Headed by Big Brawler and Jinx). It's a Top Secret set of orders for Tunnel Rat (and the other members of Night Force who are in Tiger Force) to report to G.I. Joe Special Operations HQ for a mission briefing. The team assembles, and it's GO TIME! G.I. Joe Special Operations HQ is stationed in the G.I. Joe General vehicle and the Mobile Command Center. These two vehicles move around so their location can't be fixed/tracked. So the order that Tunnel Rat receive also arrange for his transportation to the mobile base. Ghost Squad works just a little bit differently than that. It's only the 6 guys. They are completely off book. Claymore tasks them out, personally. Falcon is briefed, but does not go because it's hard to send an Officer and maintain official deniability. Flint leads this team in the field and they do some NASTY stuff. Assassinations, illegal recons and intel, and so forth. They're my equivalent to the C.I.A. Special Activities Division or the Army's ISA. They were never there - Ghosts. They come from the Best of the Best of Night Force... except for Tracker, of course. I was elated to find that figure with a better uniform.

Oliver, do you use all of the Night Force or just the first twelve from 88 and 89?

I was already going to put Wild Bill into my helicopter insertion, but think I'll be adding Crankcase as well. Wild Bill has been in both Tiger Force and Night Force. He's great. I use Crank Case as the primary vehicle driver for my regular Army Ranger detachment. He's never been released as a part of any sub team, so I keep him with the regular Army Rangers. He not only has Ranger and Jungle training, but he trained with the S.A.S. That's pretty amazing. There's a comic book issue where Flint goes to England, and he's talking with a British S.A.S. soldier. There seems to be almost an air of familiarity about the conversation. I wonder if it was meant to be implied that Flint had done some training with them while he was at Oxford. I suppose it's possible, and if anybody would do it, Flint would. Lady Jaye may have also had such an opportunity to work with the S.A.S. while at Trinity in Dublin.
