Smaller runway for one thing, so I think the Joes will be using plenty of harriers. But the Joe air force, at least the fighter jets, was never really that useful now was it? How many dogfights do they really get into?
So they'll be gettting alot of VTOL craft. Air-to-ground attack planes like the A-10 are more useful to the Joes. So they'll still have the C-130 and AC-130 and a stealth fighter but as for the rest... We'll see. |

And don't mind that unmarked van that follows you home when you leave.
Just lock your doors and don't go near any windows...

Don't forget that fighters are particularly used in the fighter-bomber role nowadays. Dogfighting kind of ended with Vietnam after missile technology and radar became more reliable. Althought dogfighting is still practiced, most jet vs jet encounters will end before a visual id is even obtained.
Yeah, so I think I'll only have 2 Skystrikers and up the number of Tiger Rats I have "on stock" in the hanger. And the Skystrikers will be to provide escort for the AC-130 and C-130s when flying into mission zones.

There is info, however, on how a mortar is set up and fired, and how to clean and fire various weapons, but first you have to have access to this stuff. |

They'll never catch me if I fast rope in onto the roof-tops and then exfil on a swamp skier. Plus, they'll never find my gas station hideout in the wetlands.

Very true. All the more reason to concentrate on the Air-To-Ground craft like the A-10 and AC-130.

Don't forget to bring your basket with the gas-spewing robot cobra in it.

Didn't the Joes get an A-10 in the 2000s?

Yeah, they got a repainted Rattler. It's pretty cool looking but hard as hell to find on ebay, at least at an affordable price. That's why I ordered the Terminator A-10. I figured this bad boy was going to be hard to find but then I saw photos of how small it is. The canopy itself doesn't open--I guess because it would be too tough to squeeze a figure through--but the entire top-half lifts back. Surprisingly you can still fit a 25th Joe in it, but the gear apparenlty is fixed down. Way to half-ass a potentially great product.
