I think the inherent problem with combining the Marvel universe with the Joe universe is, as Troynos points out, is that they operate with two different sets of rules. Superheroes, by nature, live in a more fantasy-oriented world. Which is cool. If you read those comics or watch those movies and cartoons, you know that going in. If I read a Spider-Man comic, I'm prepared to suspend my disbelief on a greater scale than if I read a G.I. Joe comic. Blending these two universes can be problematic. The Marvel universe asks you to accept that things like magic, aliens, radioactive spiders, super soldier serums, and mutants are relatively normal occurrences. Which, again, is fun in and of itself. And while Joe has had its share of envelope-pushing pseudo reality (I'm looking at you, Serpentor), generally its been grounded in reality.
But hey, If you want an Iron Man standing next to Snake Eyes on your shelf, I say go for it. |

I see the mix of the two universes like most of you have pointed out, Their Superheroness has to be turned down a bit. Most Superheros are not immortals and they have their weaknesses. Spiderman is not bulletproof and I imagine if someone put a grenade down his pants he would blow up like the rest of us.
Hulk, Sabretooth seem like good mindbender experiments. But I think some of the characters just can't fit in. Especially if they shoot lasers or lightning bolts or can fly or have psychic powers. We got Crystal Ball already. Spiderman or the fantastic 4 don't work for me. Dr Doom can work but Magneto no. Superstrong individuals I think work great. And Snake Eyes has sort of been a 9-10 on the unbelievable meter the Marvel characters would have to follow suit. Iron-Fist would just be a great ninja. Deadpool just a great Mercenary. This leads me to my next question, "Who are the top 5 Strongest Joes in the Joe Universe. I mean not ninja strong but benchpress strong. Sgt. Slaughter? Roadblock? Roadpig? Big Boa? Heavy Duty? The Fridge? Nemesis Enforcer? Gung-Ho? Serpentor? I think that would be how we could gauge say a Capt. America. |

You know, I'm actually kind of surprised that there never was any knd of crossover between the Joes and the Marvel universe in the 80s. Marvel loved cross-pollinating their properties in the 70s and 80s. They could have maybe made it work as a one-off kind of thing.
The Joes and Cobra teaming up to fight Galactus. I'm just saying... |

Grid Iron - he would have to be pretty strong to have played Division 1 College Football. *7. Big Boa would also have to be really strong - he leads Cobra PT

Alpine’s "real name" is my favorite. His name is actually Albert M. Pine (at least I think his middle intial is M.?) Anyway whatever the middle intial is, if he even has one, his name is "Al Pine"! LOL!

Yeah, you can't do a straight comparasion between the Joes and Marvel characters. It's a reason I loathe any of the "so and so vs so and so" threads. They just don't work if you do a straight comparasion.
Now you can say "if Tony Stark existing in the Joe universe, what would an Iron Man suit be like". That defines the comparasion, you're using the Joe "rules" so that Iron Man gets filtered (and depowered) to fit into what we know the Joe world physics are. So in the Joe world we have: jet packs, lasers (but those need to be head steady and aren't that powerful, so no gauntlet rapid fire lasers), missiles, B.A.T.S., SNAKE armor, and the Wraith suit. So an Iron Man armor would be something combining all those. It wouldn't have Repulsors, it wouldn't fly as good or as fast, some of the computer systems would be reduced. It would basically be like the original War Machine armor. Conversely, if you said "the Joes exist in the Marvel Universe", we're now looking at people with additional training and skills. The Joes would be the equivalent of SHIELD, just better trained. Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Black Widow, Night Thrasher, etc.. would be good baseline comparasions for the Joes if they existed in the Marvel Universe. The Joes would end up becoming a team of Punisher-equivalent people. So with the Superman/Juggernaut, even though they are both super heroe universes the "rules" are different. So Juggernaut would need to be filtered to be able to function in the DC universe. He'd probably become less unstoppable and pick up another weakness besides mental powers. Then Superman would be able to beat him.
