Yeah I had some fun trying to identify the various mortar:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_infantry_mortars Short-Fuse's Mortar Defense Unit Forward Observer Mortar Downtown's Sub-Zero's Sub-Zero's / Sonic Viper http://www.hisstank.com/forum/5044615-post1000.html Some vehicles have mortar Cannons too but that is a different conversation.

1982 Short-Fuse's accessory was the M-1 81mm medium mortar, a genuine WWII US Army mortar. 1984 Mortar Defense Unit playset was really a M224 60 mm mortar with the M8 baseplate. 1985 Forward Observer Unit playset was really a M29A1 81mm mortar with a M3 baseplate. 1989 Downtown was the Mortar Man without a mortar. He came with a M18 57mm recoilless rifle (anti-tank weapon). 1990 Sub-Zero came with a two-piece short range mortar, maybe a M2 60mm mortar for light infantry. The GIJCC recently used for both Sub-Zero and Sonic Viper the L16 81mm mortar (a.k.a. M252 mortar). It came out with a Spy Troops two pack in 2003 (Iron Grenadier and Recondo).

I like the mortar that came with the 2005 comic-pack Short-Fuse. Also, I wonder if the mortar that came with the Snow Serpent is based on a real-world weapon?

I have always thought that the Snow Serpent’s EK-99 Anti-Tank Missile was just make believe. That would be amazing if it ever turns out to be based on something real.

Not so much something from a file card, but came across this.
https://www.yojoe.com/micro-force/13/tankblast.shtml Not sure if it is supposed to be Zap, or just a Green Shirt Bazooka Trooper. |

The card art illustration for Downtown is hilarious. Wonder what the story was on that snafu? I'm guessing that the artist had no idea what that accessory was, and so the copywriter had to cover for them, rather than to commission an entirely new painting for the action figure... just a guess.
