yeah, but a lot of the filecards of the figures of pre-existing characters were re-written especially for sub-teams and Battle Corps.

The other 11 OG are more difficult to determine unless their MOS's are figured out. Breaker: I was making him a SF Comms Sergeant so he is from some ODA Steeler: a 19A Armor Officer. Could be from a tank unit or a cavalry unit. Hawk: 14A Air Defense Artillery Officer. Rock'n'Roll: Infantry so could technically be from the 75th Rangers Zap: Combat Engineer or SF Engineer Sgt. As a Combat Engineer could be from the 75th Rangers Flash: Either Infantry (possibly 75th), a CBRN specialist or in the 94 MOS series that deals with electronics. Clutch: 88M or 11B, could also be formerly from the 75th. Scarlett: 35L from an Intelligence unit. Grand Slam: 13F Fire Support Specialist. I wanted to have him calling in artillery versus being someone who operates one. I figured a SOF unit would need a 13F versus anyone else in the 13 series MOS. Technically he could have been part of the 75th as well. Short-Fuze: Indirect-fire Infantryman, 13F (like Grand Slam), 18C Engineering Sgt, 18B Weapons Sgt, or 12B Combat Engineer. Could be from a SF ODA or the 75th depending on MOS. Grunt: Infantryman but maybe he was pulled from a conventional Infantry unit and may not have been former SF or from the 75th (like most of the other OG13 may have been). Hence his codename of "Grunt" to distinguish him as non-SOF or something? |

In my Joe-verse SE and Stalker were part of the battalion recon in the 75th before they both went Special Forces (though were assigned to different SF Groups).

One of my initial thoughts was to make the majority of the Original 13 pulled from the 75th or Special Forces (and possibly the 82nd). I think any commander with a fledgling unit would want more experienced and "elite" members to fill out the ranks and to also provide their knowledge to any new members who join (provided those new members are not as experienced). I haven't made a concrete decision in my Joe-verse yet though so it is still just a thought.

So... What Marine unit is Gung-Ho from? Is Torpedo a former SEAL Team 6 member, or some other type of SEAL? What was Ace's former flight squadron before joining the JOEs?

A side note on Gung-Ho....later filecards state "Marine Recon" so he could technically be either Division Recon or Force Recon. I decided to make him Force Recon because if I recall correctly they usually get access to more schools (or shorter on the wait list for these schools) than Division Recon. |

Do the schools they attend have anything to do with what unit they serve with? I think Gung-Ho attended Lejeune, or something like that.
