So Chuckles, Claymore and Low-Light can be considered "off the book" Joe assets.
Could Scarlett fall under that category? She's almost seem to be Special Forces as well. Ranger training, language skills and sniper training. Lady Jaye? Didn't one of her cards say she was Ranger qualified and had language skills. She's stated as being a mistress of disguise. She's definately an intelligence operative.

That's very likely.
I guess that I just want Spirit and Low-Light to be something more. Low-Light is easily a Ranger, because the Sniper course is basically a school for Ranger qualified soldiers. The instructors are all Rangers. Considering that Low-Light was an instructor there, he would have to be a Ranger. Plus with his time in C.I.D., there has to be some advanced training. I almost think of Low-Light now as an Intel Operative/Assassin. Probably knife/hand-to-hand training as well. Dart seems like the kind of character that I want Spirit to be. He's the Ranger/Recon American Indian Tracker. Spirit has a Ph.D. in psychology... I almost think he should work with Psyche-out in a PsyOps Unit. I like the theory behind Low-Light. I always viewed him as Delta Force. I feel the Same way about Dart and Spirit. After looking up the CID a little what is so special about it? It's more of a police force than anything. |

Low-Light certainly has that Delta Force feel about him. He always reminds me of Randy Shughart and Gary Gordon when they volunteered to defend Durant's crash site.

This is off topic, but did anyone hear when the next IDW comic issues are coming out this month or anything more about the Resolute cartoon?

My Dad worked with CID doing counter narcotic ops in the early 90's at Ft. Shafter. Basically, CID are usually NCOs or Warrant Officers who come from either the MPs or Intel and do undercover work for the MPs, but can be tasked out for Intel operations because of their undercover training. Officially, the come under the MPs - but Intel uses them pretty frequently. At least that was my dad's understanding.

This is where I got the image in my mind. Knit Caps, its 1986, Uzi's. (Lowlight was the first since SE and Steeler to get one) They drive around in what is essentially the first I saw of the AWE striker. |

So who here considers GI Joe an equivalent of Delta Force, and who considers them above Delta Force. I for one think they are the top tier of Special Forces/Elite Units
