No, I figured that's a job for the Ranger element. SRT handles the softer, SWAT-like scenarios and the CQB/Delta teams handle the harder takedowns that require serious building clearing and "terrorist clearing."

Does anyone use the Mega Marines as an existing subset?
I am beefing up my Mega Marine team to around 12 men! They are going to be used as an inter-dimensional expedition and recon team. Yeah I said inter-dimensional...they Mega Marines team will really embrace the sic-fi aspects of GI Joe. Also they are not all True Marines. since Gung Ho was asked to lead the team, they let him choose the name. The group includes members from other branches, and several of the members are original characters. The Mega Marines are split into two six man field units and a small support team! They are equipped with a VTOL drop ship called the Vortex, a Monster Blaster APC, a second APC called the Mastadon, a Steel Marauder mech, and Attack Cruiser. I'd like to add a Badger if I can get another.

I sort of have a similar heavily armored team based around the Delta 6 accelerator suits. I have:
Blocker (Duke in the Suit) Dee-Jay (Ripcord in the Suit) Speed Metal Six-Gun (Another suit with Beachface) Hardball (HD impact armor with one of the Wrestlers) Barricade (Custom Delta suit in Blue and Gold) I have the Laser Guys as part of this team and the Flamthrowers Dodger (Custom) Sci-Fi (Custom) Flash Blowtorch Charbroil Mirage (Custom) Gears (Custom) Hi-Tech (Custom) A custom Maverick Chief Warrant Officer Matt Trakker So essentially this team is a combination of Battle-Force 2000 and Mega Marines under the leadership of Iron-Man and Iron-Patriot and War Machine. Sort of like the Army's Operational Test Command. They try out new weapons, but they do so in the field under fire. I might somehow expand this role to fit the whole Joe team. http://www.otc.army.mil/Deployed%20Teams/FOA.htm

Nice setup Loose. I like how you have the laser troopers with the flame throwers. I'm playing with a mixed special weapons group myself. It's a CBRNE/EOD group that handles various hazards: IED, UXO, fire, typical CBRN and special breaching or obstacle clearance. This is a rear element that my be attached to combat engineers. Guys like Sci-Fi, Airtight, Ozone, BBQ, Blowtorch and Charbroil are too "bright and colorful" to be used anywhere else. They come in and deal with particular hazards. The laser rifles make great tools for breaching or destroying ordnance.

Oh yeah BBQ and Airtight will be part of this team as well. I'm forgetting a few.
