At the time that I was looking at the 2010 Desert Duke,I also looked at the 2010 Dusty. One of the accessories, that comes with Dusty is a roll of barbwire. According to his Filecard,he uses it to set traps for Cobra Soldiers. Dusty must have a lot of fun carrying it on missions. He has lots of fun rolling it back up if he doesn`t catch anything. Wouldn`t he have some sort of bag to carry it in?

Snake-Eyes... I don't know. The comic is sort of "sketchy" about his time with MACSOGV. Other than a cover of an issue, there's never been any other evidence of SF qualification. His inability to speak really makes his whole existence a bit of a joke... at best he would be a lethal former Ranger who is now a CIA/DIA asset, like SAD.

You should read John Plaster's book on SOG. Really great read. And you'll be more than convinced that if SE was in SOG while in the army during Vietnam, as his dossier in the comic reveals, then he was without a doubt SF. The lack of speech is a problem but I like Zulu's idea of having SE with partially paralyzed vocal cords.
You are TOTALLY right about MACSOGV - they were all either SEALs or SF. All I'm saying is that the only evidence from the comic that Snake-Eyes was with MACSOGV was the cover of one issue. In the comic itself all that's ever mentioned is Snake-Eyes' time with the LRRPs. SF is a lot of things, but a HUGE part of what they do is winning "hears & minds". It's about working with/teaching indigenous forces - and it requires a strong ability to communicate. I'm pretty sure that all SF operators have speak english and have at least a working knowledge of a language pertinent to thier Group's area of responsibility. In other words, if you're in 7th Group, for example, you better know Spanish and Portugese wouldn't hurt. Considering the language and communication requirements for SF, it's just hard to see Snake-Eyes in that role. Don't get me wrong, the guy is a killing machine and if Delta could have snaggd him from the Rangers, they probably would have, if he didn't get picked up by the CIA first. But SF is just a different animal. The cover does raise the question, however, and every fan has to interpret the cannon for himself... I just think it's not explicit, and it's pretty questionable. Stalker, for example, would fit WAY better into SF than Snake-Eyes would.

But nothing says SE couldn't have been SF BEFORE his accident, right? After all, it happened on his first mission as a Joe. And as far as we know, his voice was fine while he was in 'Nam. Aslo, going back to Low Light for a minute, I believe that in Bellomo's book it says he was intended to be a SEAL by the designers, but LH made him Delta.

Well I'm assuming Snake-Eyes would have know a Vietnamese dialect or two and a conversational type of Chinese. Not to mention Japanese. Remember Snake-Eyes was not injured until after Vietnam.
He then most likely left the military. Stalker tracked him down. We still never got a real good sense of how good a soldier he was. But once MACVSOG started were they trying to win the hearts and minds, or were they going more the Black-Ops route? Maybe Snake-Eyes was sort of a loner and didn't care for the interaction with the indigenous forces. So he went LRRP?

His last Duty assignment in 'Nam was with the LRRPs - that's the Rangers. As for Low-Light, when I emailed Mr. Hama, what he basically said was that he envisioned Low-Light as an SF-qualified, Delta Force Sniper. That's where I'm getting the info.

If Snake-Eyes had left the MACSOGV, he would have gone back to an SF Group. Let's not forget, He wasn't just a Ranger, he and Stalker and Tommy were LRRPs - they went through Recondo School at Nha Trang. That was serious. Different from SF, but it doesn't mean he wasn't just as good of a soldier, or just as lethal.

Well, wasn't it the case that after that crazy mission in "Nam with his LRRP unit where he and Stalker and Storm Shadow barely made it out alive, didn't Snake-Eyes go home? Didn't he leave the Army until Hawk and Stalker came out to recruit him? So he basically went from the LRRPs to civilian life to the Joes? Isn't that right?

What surprizes me is that of all the Joe snipers, only one obscure (BTR) character, Hollow Point, was a Marine Scout/Sniper. It seems to me that if you're coming up with a team of troops from the different branches of service, and you want a sniper, wouldn't a USMC Scout/Sniper be the obvious choice?
