I've been doing some research on PSYOPS because I've decided to make Night Force the Psyop / Civil Affairs centric sub team. Came across something interesting Big Brawler who's listed in his filecard as both a Jungle Mission specialist and a master of psychological warfare
YOJOE.COM | Filecard Gallery - Big Brawler well, during the invasion of Panama, the GNR song 'Welcome to the Jungle' was one of the loud music songs used to drive Noriega out of the Vatican embassy. Welcome to the Jungle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Coincidence of military specialty and character card or did Larry Hama (or someone competent at Hasbro) actually write this card? |

Tyroc, I love that take on Cobra La, I'm stealing it. Going to use the RoC CC has the scientist in charge of the experiment. Since he ruined his face in an experiment he feels more at home with the other experiments. I'll work out how they perchieve him in a bit.
I think they'll be part of the Coils or a seperate group, started as an experiment of the Society. Btw, does anyone incorporate artillery and/or armor in their joe squads? I've been working on my set up and I'm still having trouble incorporating them. It's just too damn hard to transport a tank. Also given the counter terrorism role the Joes play (mostly recon, direct action small scale, short duration light infantry), is there even a time when they'd need these combat arms? I can only think of large scale conflicts like the invasion of Cobra Island when they might need Artillery and armor and that's it.. |

I'm incorporating alot more Armadillos into my Joeverse. Basically all the armor drivers are also qualified for the Armadillos. Those are easier to transport and good for small scale missions. They have access to the tanks and stuff as needed.
The artillery is more of an issue. But I'm going to make them more mortar squads and mobile Anti-Aircraft units. No Howitzers or HALs or anything like that. I've also decided to move Cullen Esterhazy to the Special Operations Unit of my J.O.E. team. This is a special unit under the direct supervision of Colton and not assigned to any of the individual teams. So far this unit is: Snake-Eyes, Esterhazy (need a good codename for him) and Norseman (based on the Scot Harvath character from the novels by Brad Thor). These are Colton's special operatives. The more black of the black ops goes to them, the "take that guy out quietly and quickly" kind of jobs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brad_Thor#Thrillers (the link goes to the author's wiki page, but can get a feel for the Harvath character by reading the novel summaries. Harvath's in-novel callsign from his SEaL days is Norseman) So now I need someone else to head up my Intelligence Operations unit.

I have Cmdr Thomas Magnum as my J2 Military Intel officer and Jack Ryan as my Group Chief Strategic Officer. If that helps? Otherwise, you could have Indy? I thought about how you could still use him despite his age. You could always explain that whilst he didn't gain immortality by drinking from the Holy Grail, he did gain a longer more spritely life span. Hell even if use him as his chronological age, it wouldn't be that fra fetched. Sean Connery is in his 70's and still looks mid 50's tops. He also looks like he could kick someone's @$$ too. Gene Hackman too. Think I'll use the Armadillo route too but still undecided about artillery. It'd be easy enough to discard that element...but I really like the Rolling Thunder and Thunder Clap. My goal is to fit all Joe vehicles and characters in my Joeverse with reasonable plausibility...you know one where clones and scientific experiments are running around |

I know Zulu calls Esterhazy 'Mogu' from the Chinese Mogwai or Gwai Lo or White/Foreign Devil.
I call him Blind Sight (after the name of a Tibetan film documentary) and kinda references his military skills too. Others? well Esterhazy is a village in Saskatchewan, Canada..Sasquatch? or.. Yeah, let me know if you have any questions. I'll try to tell you what I know. It's really a great area of the Military/Special Ops - but not a lot of people really know how it works. Let me know how I can help.

Ya know, if I do a head swap with the RoC Destro body, that could make a good leader for my Red Shadows faction. But what head could I use for Wilder Vaughn?
Not sure if I want Wraith with Cobra, Coils, IGs/MARS or the Red Shadows. I'm leaning towards the Shadows since it was revealed in WW2 that Vaughn was the one that created the armor.
