Why are people complaining about their wives/girlfriends suggesting they spend less money on G.I. Joe. The reason I ask this, is because it obviously means your either spending too much on toys that it has negative effects on real life issues, or your stuck with a tightwad (G.I. Joes aren't expensive)

My gf has accepted it. As long as they stay in their proper place and aren't all over the place she doesn't mind.

Joes aren't expensive, what are you only buying one figure a wave? LOL Do you buy everything? Yikes, I guess it all depends on where you are in life. I know that if I spent 3,000 dollars this year on going out drinking the wife wouldn't care but on little toy army men? Oh my goodness!

well guys its like this
i collect joes, star wars, transformers, and some quality random figs from a variety of lines. i paint 25mm metal fantasy figs, play D&D, SWRPG, and old school VTM. my comic book and collectible cards are taking up space too, infact, i have a room dedicated to all this shit. however,...ive been married to a hella hot wife for 3 years and she thinks my collection is endearing(and likely the result of a shity childhood) but see, i balance it out. im in the army, im a martial arts instructor, and love guns, weapons and armor... and collect those too. so just be a whole person, not that guy hunched over in a corner reading the adventures of harry pendragon whos a complete social reject. if your into weird shit...gauge your audience. as in there are occassions when you shouldnt discuss that crimson suit hanging in your closet! |

I assumed if I was supposed to have a girlfriend, Hasbro would have put one in a blister card for me. Of course, I would'nt be able to find her, because of scalpers. Actually, that's kind of an apt metaphor.... sadly. haha

theres this super fine chick ive been sort of trying to date and i was drunk as shit showing her my joe collection bein all like OH MAN THIS IS ZARTAN HE IS SO AWESOME!!!! probly not the smoothest move, but i dont care at all about dating, i think girls should be impressing me. Im rich, intelligent, beautiful and talented. they can get the hell out if they dont like it.
hmmm, i dunno one of my ex girlfriends would talk shit and say that i was an immature moron for playing with gijoes at the age of 26... i told her im a writer, painter, and sculptor and that i need a muse. and that happens to be gi joe toys. then i threw her out. why would i want to date someone who doesnt appreciate/ understand me? i think my last ex girl got kind of embaressed when id have my arms stuffed with joes and be goin to the checkout aisle. haha... she never said anything though. she was a good girlfriend i miss her. i dunno, never sacrifice yourself or deny yourself. be proud of who you are and remember that even the hottest chicks in the world are a dime a dozen. |
