The way Torpedo and Wet-Suit are, even the names, limits the playability. They are divers, that's all. Can't use 'em as SEALS cause they are outfitted for water only, not even amphibious missions.
edit: Hasbro really needed to have a military consultant on board.

I was also thinking that the Coast Guard is drastically under represented. They could use some of those Rescue Divers or Anti-Drug boarding parties.

Reading some more filecards...
Lady Jaye is Airborne and Ranger qualified. I didn't think women were allowed to be Rangers (even to this day)? Scarlett is Ranger qualified, Marine Sniper school. And Shipwreck still isn't a SEAL!! Bah, I hated that in the Cartoon and DDP comic.

Being Ranger Qualified doesn't mean Scarlett or Lady Jaye had to actually be in a Ranger Unit. They could've just went to Ranger School, got the training and then went on to something else, since officially women aren't in the Special Forces. I was in a Supply Unit and we had guys who went to Infantry School to earn the Infantry Badge and the Expert Infantry badge, but never went to a Infantry Unit, although they were Infantry Qualified. I can se ethat being the case with the Joe's, cross training.

There's a difference with women and Infantry training. In your supply unit, did you know any women in your unit who were cross-trained as Infantry (11B or 11C)? Ever seen a woman with the EIB or the CIB? I'm guessing you haven't because women are not allowed in the Infantry... and Ranger School is run by the Infantry at Ft. Benning. Ranger School, not just the 75th Ranger Regiment, is male only. I'm sure G.I. Joe likes to think of itself as very progressive, or likes to think of Scarlett and Lady Jaye as very tough. Doesn't matter, the Infantry is still the Infantry, and there are NO women out there with a Ranger Tab - none. As for Scarlett going through the Marine Sniper school at Quantico, VA... I'm not in the Marines, but I highly doubt it. If any Marine can clear this up, it would be much appreciated. Women can go Airborne, Air Assault, Pathfinder, Jump Master, Mountain Training, HALO, etc. but they cannot join the Special Forces, Infantry, Armor, Field Artillery, or Combat Engineers. They cannot go to Army Sniper School, Scuba School, or Ranger School. Recently, women have been allowed to join the Air Defense Artillery and are permitted to join other Special Operations units like Psy Ops (my old unit), Civil Affairs, 160 SOAR, or Special Operations Support and Command. And I'm sure we're all aware that women are now fighter pilots in the Air Force and Navy. Delta Force does not use women, but it's intel counterpart, the Intelligence Support Activity does use female soldiers. No female SEALs No female Air Force PJ's or Combat Controllers No female Marine Infantry, Armor, Artillery, or Force Recon. A soldier does not have to be in the Infantry to go to Ranger School, but a soldier does have to be male to go. Every Ranger Qualified soldier is a male. No exceptions. That's the Army regulation.
