I see a decent amount of threads that turn to repack discussions so I wanted to see where the community is on these.
Please keep it civil. There will be people for and people against so please if you do comment just state the facts. If you think it's wrong show why and the same for those that are for it. Finally, feel free to post repack sightings. Either for laugh value to see that they are actually there or to deter this type of action. Last edited by MAJOR BLOOD; 10-28-2008 at 01:55 AM.. |

It's a crime pure and simple.
How would you feel if you bought a bottle of premixed kool-aid that some one had bought, took home, drank, then filled the bottle with pee and returned. (I know that would probably never happen but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use the phrase "Don't piss in my Kool-Aid" as an example ) Here's a some repacks I have seen: Joe 5 pack with Snake-Eyes, Gung-Ho and Roadblock replaced with their 2000 counterparts. (I thought about getting it because I didn't have those figures ) Destro/Breaker comic pack with Destro and 1995 Han Solo |

It is a crime like Shogi mentioned above. I have seen my fair share or repacks, some of which i have thought about buying, but to the unsuspecting buyer who doesn't know any better, it is completely unfair...

I have a feeling it won't be long before stores institute an all-sales-final policy on collectible action figure lines.

Crime for sure. If you can't afford it don't buy it.

it is a crime but im not a cop or a lawyer or even a securityguard, meaning i have no athority to do anything about it so im not going to get all upset and make threat of violence like some members on here. its not that serious.

I dont believe its that serious.
I wouldnt classify it as a crime. its ethically or morally wrong sure but ethics and morals are different from person to person legally though, i dont think its a crime as the store cant prove that it wasnt factory mispacked. which does happen. |

When I was little I would save my allowance and then my mom would drive out of her way on her lunch break to buy me a figure or toy that I wrote down for her to try to find for me. I would be so heart-broken and feel bad for her having to go out of her way only to find that some asshole adult did this crap to save a few dollars. Plus then my mom would have to take another lunch break to drive out of her way to try to return it.
We are mostly adults here collecting TOYS that exist primarily for kids. The kids are the ones getting screwed by this. So you are not sticking it to the man, you are sticking it to the kids. Way to go.
