I find this all humorously ironic considering how Hisstank began building up its member base in the first place. I used to be a poster over at JBL, Joe Sightings and others (yep, I'm an old-timer around the boards) and I seem to remember a parade of posts by someone named "Hisstank" that all directed readers to this site. Seriously, it verged on spam. So I think the policy is highly hypocritical. You used self-promotion (including promotion specific posts) on other sites, built up your membership at the possible expense of other communities and now you're concerned about the same happening here. Nice. Sauce for the gander and all that.

So, wait...this means I can no longer post links to my toy blog (excepting the link in my signature) when I have updated it with new content? Even though I wind up discussing the contents with people here rather than there?
If so, it would mean my only choice to start a discussion in this vein (excepting those happy, happy few who check to see when I update) would be to post reviews here...but then I have to self-censor my style and content, and go through the process of resizing every pic I post (which are huge) and etc. If so, lame.

If a site does a review on a figure that hasn't been seen, is new, is rare, etc, then that is fine to link there and begin discussion. If the newsletter has new info etc, that is fine to link, quote the text that is new/groundbreaking etc, and begin discussion. But if the newsletter/review/site update is just a general thing, round-up, then it shouldn't be discussed here.
I understand completely now. If it doesn't happen on Hisstank then it's not important. Unless it's news that Hisstank wants. |

So if it's news (and can bring more people here) then it's okay, but if it's anything else, including user generated from any place else then it's not allowed (because it might interest people to vist another site). Then Hisstank members shouldn't have the oppertunity to see it. Even if in the case of reviews it offers a different perspective or offers points that your review may have missed.
I understand completely now. If it doesn't happen on Hisstank then it's not important. Unless it's news that Hisstank wants. Your theory about "if it's not hisstank, it doesn't exist" is not true, wasn't, won't be. I'm trying to answer specific scenerios here to make it clear. Again, everything is on a case by case basis, what I posted above is a general guideline. Intent and the method of "deilvery" is just as important as actual content in relation to how things get moderated. |

In this case, when it is just a personal collector showing off reviews or insight on new or old toys, the best practice would be to quote part of your content, a teaser of sorts, possibly include one image, explain the "fully story" is at your personal place, and then continue to interact with the community here after you do. That way, its useful, relevant content which helps this community grow. |

So lets try this, Since you don't offer a regional forum. If I post a link to the tristatevipers.com web-sit to try to bring people together who live around new york. I'm wrong right. Becauce that would take pople away for your site so they can use a service you don' offer.

There may be situations here and there that go outside that general standard, but none that I am aware of, since I did neither personally. And if they were done, then they shouldn't have. If other sites, or fans who visit them, did that here, it would be allowed under the rules laid out above. Since it's referencing something new or exclusive to that other site, which has not been covered here. |

Whats up guys? I just got done a review of the Ninja B.A.T. IMO one of the best Sigma 6 Figures out right now. I have some cool army builder shots that are worth a peak.
