I hardly have a huge collection, but I try to keep it manageable for space and monetary reasons. I really have no qualms mixing ME/ARAH, though, so my method might be frowned upon. When it comes to figures, I take a look at the ME vs. the ARAH versions of figures out there and pick my favorite, and just go with that one. I make some exceptions for favorites, though (SE, Tunnel Rat, Outback, and a variety of troop builders, to name a few) and grab a few versions of select figures. That system works pretty well for me, but again, I don't mind mixing the two. All the non-Joe toys I collect are displayed in a pretty non-uniform way, so I'm fine with that.

ARAH4LIFE! Except... when there is limited display space... then you gotta flash the ME bling. LOL.

I think sticking to one era is a bad idea. There's lots of great figures throughout the years, limiting yourself to one era just means you're going to miss out on other cool stuff. Think about the future too, what are you going to do when construction style get's changed again?

Lol...what is it? Take your kid to work day at Cobra? Looks like the Strato-Viper brought his kid along for a "fly-along". Those vintage figs have much shorter legs.

I display my complete POC collection of figs & vehicles. My vintage stuff is almost all packed away right now. Once I get my hands on some more tables and shelves, then the vintage stuff will get some love too. There really is no wrong answer here though...

ROFL, the guy on the right is the vintage Strato-Viper. On the left is the 25th Air Viper.

Well Dave I had the same problem.. I was a vintage and ME collector.. (no new-sculpt era figures for me).. I had to take a decision 'cause money wise it was insane (as a completist I need to buy every piece made) ..and I'm also an army-builder so it was a little hard on the wallet! I took the decision recently to sell off my complete ME collection (you will find it in my b/s/t list soon) In my opinion the vintage stuff is more fun to collect..like someone else said, you don't have to wait for Hasbro to make something, it's already there! I don't want to bash the ME stuff, the figures are awesome but it's not what I played with as a kid, I see them as statues to pose and look at..not very inspiring..

Start a new thread, asking what poll questions you should put into a poll for what you should do with your collection and then start a new thread with those poll questions and then start a new thread to discuss the winner of the poll.
