As long as the head come off, we can use those for excellent customs.

Hasbro talked like the heads do pop off like the fully articulated figures. So we should be able to use those heads and customize our own figures.

Yeah, I mean it'd be balls if they were regular figures, but just the drivers having 5 points and detachable heads isn't the end of the world. Right on, brother!

That's thinking positively. The figures are blah, the heads are great and the vehicles are great.
It's not that hard to frankenjoe a good figure using those heads and available parts.

Personally I don't like paying the cost of a figure with a vehicle just to get the head. I would rather have vehicles that came without figures, possibly dropping the cost of the toy then purchase one with a sub-par figure. On top of that, buying another figure just to put a head on it to replace a figure that normally in the past already would have had that articulation? Not exactly my idea of optimal Joe spending.

No one is saying it's optimal Joe spending.
It's just making the best of a bad situation.

I'm not really that worried about changes in articulation so long as they still look ok when standing next to my other 30th and PoC figures. If the difference is as obvious as when you put a 25th next to a GI Joe vs Cobra figure, then I will be disappointed.
