Personally, I'd love an RPG, with many team members to choose from. That's really not going to happen though.
A Syphon Filter type, 3rd person espionage/shooter would probably be my second choice. Most likely we will get a generic beat-em-up, with the live action movie as the model, which is sad. I really want a Joe game with the classic 80's style characters. |

ABSOLUTELY! I personally would like to appoint 'Cobra-Love' to head the design and creative team of the '09 G.I. Joe video game. Give him total autonomy! (clears throat) I'd like to place my pre-order now. I'm gonna need that on the Xbox 360 platform...thank you very much!

There's so many different version of each character that to be able to have a chance to play all of them (as level upgrades or something) in a single game would be so cool. *runs and hides from all the COD4 players and goes back to playing Final Fantasy in the corner* LOL. |

Squad-based 3rd person shooter is the only way to go. (See: Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, Brute Force, etc. )
And have a decent line-up of Joes, all of which serve a specific function on the team: Leader/Rifleman - (Duke, Flint, Scarlett, Stalker, Beachhead, etc.) Melee/Ninja/Brawler - (Snake Eyes, Barbecue, Sgt. Slaughter) Support - (Rock & Roll, Roadblock, Heavy Duty, Bazooka, Blowtorch) Medic - (Doc, Lifeline) On a mission (level) you choose a team based on their skills and how they can balance each other out (example - indoor level with high amount of CCQ you won't want Bazooka, but Snake Eyes will be VERY useful). Bam, GAME OF THE YEAR material right there. (But then I'm a total sucker for games like Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter) And for bonus unlockable features like costumes (Snake Eyes 1-4). And you have an endless supply of no-name Cobra Troopers to shoot at, and plenty of bosses from Firefly and Storm Shadow all the way to Destro and Cobra Commander (using some of their crazier weapons devices). Cobra flight pods (Tomax and Xamot), Crimson Guards in later levels, CLAWs, and all kinds of varied and progressively more difficult enemies. It would be beautiful.

Either an RTS or something more 'open-word' like GTA/Saints Row.
