Mine is organic and blends aspects that I like from various media. For example, Krake is my Cobra Commander and he is hunting the Cobra Council who is in hiding. The Council has finally made their move and picked the insane Dr. Lewis as their choice to lead Cobra. They think they can control him. All the while the real Cobra Commander has been recovering from Chuckles betrayal and waiting patiently to crush Krake and now the this new pretender Dr. Lewis.

Not really, the only thing that's changed is that I don't care quite as much, ha!

In mine they are all wrapped in plastic like Laura Palmer and in little plastic mass coffins.

There are a few other officers, like Steeler and Sub Zero, but those are the main ones. The Guard is mostly a Russian unit. Daina and Red Star are two of the small number of non-Russians in it. I added: a new paratrooper, a recon specialist, an intelligence specialist, a commo troop, a marksman (Wong from the toons), a fighter pilot, a frogman, desert and arctic warfare specialists, an undercover specialist and a medic. as well as Big Bear (who never appeared in the comics), Ruslan as an EOD guy and Volga as a second helo pilot and a seperate Russian character. the intelligence and comms specialists are also women. AF operates a joint European force under an ad-hoc EU/NATO command structure. The Commander is the CO equivalent to Hawk. Eagle and Skip are colonels commanding SAS Force and Z Force respectively. There are field officers below them, including Quickfire, an officer leading a semi-independent SASF recon team based on some customs i saw, an SASF paratroop unit, and a Z Force para unit. Space Force is commanded by Sky Raider, with Skystriker and Conquest squadrons, a space cadre and a small commando team and a rocket-pack squad. Q Force commanded by Leviathan includes a six-man Aquatrooper (SEAL) team and a cadre of Killer WHALEs as well as a modified SSBN sub marine used to transport and deploy the Aquatroopers. SAS Force includes a four-man teams led by the old SASF characters, a commando team led by Quickfire, a HALO team lead by Sparrowhawk, a sorta SEAL team led by Barracuda, Boat Patrol led by Stakeout and a 'Silent Attack' team led by Beaver, as well as mobility elements, an air support element of Hawk helicopters and a large force of Attack Troopers. Z Force includes more tanks, HAVOCs, light vehicles, Armadillos and an air element of Dragonflies and Tomahawks. The Action Commandoes (Task Force 282) is a multinational south American team drawn largely from Brazil, Argentina and Chile. They also include members from Colombia, Uruguay, Peru, Venezuela and Ecuador. Led by a Brazilian officer called 'The Colonel/The General', I added a bunch of OCs, a load of whom I've then killed off! All of these units are entirely seperate from the American GI Joe, as is the Canadian Joe team. - The CGIJ unit is the CJC exclusive characters, the Canuckleheads from the newsletter comics and a bunch of OCs. |

Is Action Force the biggest team for you Capt. Britain? What are OCs?
I don't have a separate Canadian team but I do use Action Force guys. They are all SAS or SBS guys. Even Beaver. The other non-UK members are all 2nd generation British citizens except Jammer and Blades and Moondancer who are Joes. They are led by the Commander (custom), Commander James Bond (XO)(renegades Falcon), Major Buckingham (Eagle), Captain Skip, Lt. Stone and Lt. Dolphin. These guys and their subordinates are all sprinkled in with the units they fit best. I don't have too many though as of yet since most are customs. So Big Ben, Natalie Poole, Stakeout, Beaver, Sparrowhawk, Quarrel, Wheels, Gaucho, Digger, Phones and Trojan(AF Steeler) Still waiting for inspiration for Sapper. Most of these guys I just use extra versions of characters and renamed or headswap. I think I had a guy for Hunter too but I can't recall. I feel like I'm missing a few obvious ones. Especially Z-Force or SAS. The 4 Action Commandos and Sparta are all Americans so they are Joes in my verse.

OC = Original Character - IE not one from 'canon' - in my case, the toys or the comics. Even as a kid, i thought 6 guys in the Guard was far too few. the idea of AF being less than 50 even more so. I mean, the BAF comics show plenty of other personnel (frequently redshirts to get killed off), so I've just not only run with it but sprinted. The Guard: Daina - Helicopter pilot/sniper (Czech) Red Star - CO/machine gunner (Ukrainian) Big Bear - anti-armour Dragonsky - flamethrowers Lt. Gorky - Marine Sgt. Misha - infantry Wong - Marksman (Asian) Ruslan - demolitions/EOD Berkut - fighter pilot (Ukrainian) Akula - frogman Tanya - Intelligence Katya - communications Sergei - covert operations Yuri - Paratrooper (replaces Molot) Nikolai - recon Volga (Aliona Rhianoff) - Helicopter copilot/gunner Pasha - desert warfare Artem - arctic warfare Doctor Vladimir Chigvintsev - medic Colonel Brekhov - CO (deceased) Schrage - Infantry (deceased, East German) Stormavik - paratrooper (deceased) Horror Show - anti armour (Georgian, deceased) Molot - paratrooper - (deceased) first 6 are toys/comics characters. Ruslan is from DDP. Wong from the cartoon. the rest are all mine. Action Commandos (aka Heroic Commandos, officially 'Task Force 282') Glenda – Jane Mulligan, POB Cordoba, Argentina. Helicopter pilot Condor – Aaron Sternfield, Boa Vista, Brazil. Paratrooper Redmack – Reginald Cobb, Devil’s Thumb, Colorado. Intelligence Shimik – Jerome Ford, San Luis, Argentina. My joeverse is a post apocalyptic scenario. Yes, yet again, another zombie virus although not quite as contagious as the typical one. The world is in shambles, large factions of Cobra became disenchanted with the organization after Cobra accidently on purpose released the zombie virus. After all, even mercenaries have family and friends. General Flagg is alive but a little off the rails as he felt that he should have been able to have the joes stop the release of the virus. He wanders the country side with a handful of joes who are looking out for him, trying to right wrongs, one at a time. Hawk is running the joes and is trying to keep things in check the best he can, stopping loyal cobra factions, biker gangs, and the zombies, at the same time, pursuing elusive cures through various means, both scientific and somewhat occultish, sort like indiana jones type adventures. the joe team is in factions, although all loyal to Hawk and the US, he directs them on various missions. Air assets are seriously reduced in effectiveness due to the loss of infrastructure so a lot of the work is ground based with short range tactical air support. this verse allows me to have my cake and eat it too. Joes battle cobra, but cobras I like are partnered with the joes-Major Bludd is assisting the joes. I have adventure teams pursuing artifacts that might exist and be able to help, I have joe combat detachments pursuing scientists and scientific solutions-ie rescuing or abducting scientists as necessary. I have the search for the holy grail and unobtanium. I also have tactical ops, going after Mad Max biker gangs terrorizing places. Although, oddly, the Dreadnoks abandoned Zartan and work with the joes.
