Hasbro undoubtedly began developing designs for the HOH packaging prior to the final character selection, and using those three characters as samples certainly makes sense. whether those characters were in the final product would be irrelevant to a company developing a design concept for the packaging.
Possibly this "new" art was done and then they changed it up... cuz these pics (below) are HOH mock ups...

We can speculate all day as to what the card art is for, I personally think it could be a way Hasbro could re-release every Joe figure, much the same way they re-release starwars figures.........Just saying.
As to gyre-viper, I must say that it is very interesting to see another collector who likes production samples like I do.

beyond that, the ROC logos and the fixed wrist Duke undoubtedly eliminate any possibility that they were original concepts for the 25th line. Quote:
either way, they are too ornate and ugly so I am glad they didn't come to fruition. |

Someone else had a few and I'd rather they all be with the same person instead of split between two collections. But I love mock ups and production samples.

Hey I kinda looked a bit deeper in their image folder and found this... maybe all this art is for the club? I know these images however were not used at the 2011 convention.
