Will i aggravate and reap the wrath of the action figure gods for restoring my loose figs with cardbacks and bubbles, as long as i keep them for my viewing pleasure? what do you guys think? is this poor taste or do i just leave them hanging out on there fig stands in a display case?

Do whatever you want! I know a lot of Star Wars collectors do this. I've thought about it myself. Selling them is the unethical thing, but even then, as long as you make clear that they are restored and resealed, I don't see a problem. I definitely don't think it's in poor taste. Not all of us can afford vintage MOC.

I've purchased restored Star Wars figures on ebay but they were clearly advertised as such. As long as you don't intentionally or otherwise trick people into purchasing them thinking they're MOSC you'd be doing nothing wrong.

As others have said it's your call! As long as you enjoy your collection, that is all that matters.

i came across an outfit that looks as though they produce some awesome resto card kits for like 12 bucks each, a little rich, but they clearly are marked resto cardback somewhere on the card. so no deception going on here. i just thought it would be cool.
now is it worth the expense of recarding all my vintage joes, thats the million dollar question....
