Does anyone else get really antsy at work, because you can't stop thinking about Joe stuff? For example; I'm in the midst of 2 customs. One an APC-looking vehicle from Lanard's STAR Force, the other is a 25th figure of Thunder (I recently got and customized a Slugger, and I know there's no chance of Hasbro coming out with this figure, so I decided to make my own). Yesterday, I received a box of misc. Joe parts (mostly vehicle stuff) in the mail I got off of eBay for really cheap. I went through it yesterday, and picked out some stuff I can use on the APC. But after work yesterday, I had to take my cat to the vet, and then whe I got home, my girlfreind's cousin came over, and then my girlfriend and her mum got in. And over the last 2 months, I've been struggling with insomnia, so I just feel constantly exhausted. But instead of going to bed when I should, I usually wind up working on this or that or cleaning the apartment...
I'm so tired right now. But all I want to do is get home and work on the stuff I mentioned above. This must be like what it feels for a heroin addict who just came down. |

I am at home, sick, and wish I was at work. Much to do there, and I am not up to doing my yard work here.
And I do not get HBO so I cannot watch Transformers which starts shortly. Dammit. |

I will be at work since June until December. The only Joes I get to see are here at the Tank. I am living through everyone here. So please buy more Joes.
And thanks to all the Tankers for keeping me in the GI Joe loop!

Not so much. The only time I start to slack at work for Joe is around Con time.

I think about joes all the time at work. But then again I keep a chat room open all day with some of my customizing buddies over at Joecustoms, where we shoot the crap all day and talk about Joes, toys and customs. That usually holds me over until I can get home and work on some of my customs.

Well, yeah, always. Anywhere. Not that I hate my job - I just can't resign myself to the fact that I HAVE to be somewhere X amount of hours a week for the rest of my life. Right now I'm doing an internship for a CAD job, and I can't sit behind a desk all day. I've been there for about a month and a half, and I've progressively felt more and more awful since I started working there. Every other job I was always up and moving around and doing physical work. This sucks.
I shouldn't complain, but I just can't help it. When my internship's up, I don't know what I'm going to do. There's no work around the area I'm stranded in (Pittsburgh), and I have financial responsibilities, so I can't NOT work. I'm not lazy. I just need to be self-employed. Isn't there a job where I can pull an engine out of a car one day and cut down trees the next and bake pies and cookies the next? I drive to work and I can recognize the same faces in the same cars on the way there and back and it just makes me want to drive off a bridge. Guh. |
