Obviously, there are some people here upset with the current state of Joe. If you are not happy, or don't have all of the figures you were looking for, ask yourself a few questions:
Did you preorder online? If you did, you would have every figure. Did you buy from online retailers when the waves arrived? If you did, you would have every figure. Assuming you can't purchase online, have you bought at least one of every figure you've seen at retail? Stores will have a better chance of restocking if they actually sell the figures currently on their pegs. Are you upset at the large amount of Renegades figures on the pegs? This site is easily the largest online Joe community. The largest single day of traffic here was the day that Renegades was supposed to premiere. We talked about it all of the time, and responses to the previews last year were very favorable on here. I think we gave Hasbro every reason to believe we would welcome those figures into our collections. For everyone bitching about not finding Sci Fi, Lifeline, Airtight and Zombie Viper... Did you buy Ren Duke, Ren CC, Ren SE, and Ren Firefly?

It's not that the thumb is not a finger; it's that when you're pointing, the thumb is not pointing at you. Go ahead--try it.

Question back, What if you didn't want those paticular figures, it seems counter intuitive to buy things you don't want to get things you want. Also it sends a message to the company that you will buy things that aren't nessessarly desireable.

I've bought multiple Rene. Dukes, CCs, FFs, IGs, Steel Bridgades, etc and the damn store just refilled the pegs with more Dukes, CCs, FFs, IGs, and Steel Bridgades.

However, if Hasbro would set the expectation that they are no longer selling 'Joe in stores and it will be targeted from now on towards a niche market through online vendors as exclusives, folks would probably still complain but at least then the expectation has been set. Then the argument you made above becomes valid.

Trade them, sell them, one case is not going to send the message you think it will send. It's better than being without.

I think it is worth buying a few figures you might not like, to support the brand as a whole and keep product moving...
