I didn't, but one of my best friends won the Be Your Own Joe drawing at SDCC in 2008. Here's the link. It actually looks just like him.

Ha, a friend of mine won the Wolverine off the Bozo show when they used to let you send in a card to be pulled out of a hat and get the matching prizes for the kid tossing a ping pong ball in a bucket. He won a fig too, but I can't remember which one. It was funny cause until then I wondered if they really won anything or not. Anyway he got a bunch of stuff (the kid got up to nearly the last bucket). I can't even remember everything now though.

I never won anything but back in 1990 I worked for Toys R Us as a Cashier. I loved my job and was placed in charge of one of the stores many Toy give away contests. I was the person who got to pick names from the big white box we had in the front of the store and then match the names to the prizes the customers won. I had to call each one and tell them they won. It wasn't a great job but it was cool seeing the faces of everyone who won as they came in to claimed their prizes.

I never remember winning anything back in the day. I did give away a TARGAT MOC in a Secret Santa in 5th grade in 1990.
But in the last few years I have won a few carded figures through various contests and games around the boards. |

I remember watching ARAH as a kid around 84 I think, and entered some contest. Then one day they ran a list of winners on screen and sure enough their was my name. It ran by so fast that no one in the family really believed me. Then one day my big box came in .... my very old Skystriker with Ace. Then in 1999 I won the entire Pokemon happy meal collection from Burger King. Think it included the deluxe gold cards but all the toys had the Pokeballs that were recalled.

I won a Thundercats toy as a kid, it was the fat green lizard/toad looking one, don't know his name. But I was into Joes so I didn't play with him much. My grandmother entered me into that contest.
I won a HissTank.com customizer contest a few years back, 3rd place for my Cobra Claw Transformer crossover. I won a boxed Soundwave, but I donated it to the 4th place runner up to give to his son. |
