I just spoke to my insurance agent a couple of months ago. State Farm, by the way. He flat out told me that my renter's insurance will only pay up to 500 for my collection in case of damage/theft. He also told me that there is a rider available that will pay full value of my collection as long as its documented. I am still working on that. Once I'm done, I will get his quote on price, and I am sure that it will be a bargain compared to replacement cost of everything.
