Love him or hate him, Snake-Eyes is one of the, if not THE, most popular GI Joe team members.
I prefer him in his original Commando headgear. You know the facemask and Goggles? It really makes me think of how exciting it was when "A Real American Hero" started. I would hit the comic rack at the candy store WEEKLY until that new issue came out and for a mere 60 cents, I could read the latest adventures of the Joe team. I know there are a few fans that think Snake-Eyes Version 2 (with the Dunand Visor) is the BE ALL, END ALL look for him. I love the visor and had the figure as a kid. This Snake-Eyes was used more than any other team member and usually paired up with Scarlett. But there will always be a special place in my heart (and toybox) for that original Snake-Eyes figure. What do YOU think?!

Whatever it is on the Wave3 POC Snakey Eyes. I woulnd't quite call them goggles, and it's not really the "knights visor" which most folks associate SE with. That one is my default SE.

For me it’s a easy choice V2 will always be the definitive version on SE. V1 is a very close 2nd all the rest was crap, but that’s my opinion for what it counts.

I'm not gonna argue for which is best or most sensible or most plausible, but I will always prefer the visor from the second figure.
It looks like something from the medieval days, which makes no sense. But it looked cool then, and it looks cool now. Indeed, I'll go further. I am not so nostalgic for my youth that I insist that Hasbro should reproduce vintage designs in exacting detail, and I feel that anyone who cannot see that Renegades is better than the Sunbow cartoon lacks objective critical skills, and generally speaking I think toys and cartoons are much, much better today than they were when I was kid. But somehow, I don't think Hasbro will ever manage to make a Snake Eyes quite as arresting as Snake Eyes version 2 from 1985 or whenever. Something about the way his various elements blend together is subtly magical. |

I've always liked his "Jordi LaForge" visor look the best....makes him look high tech-ish....

V2 Visor. He will always be a Ninja Commando as well no matter what headgear he has.

goggles. It's the only thing about the movie, The Saint, that I really enjoyed. I even thought about trying to buy that costume on some Hollywood prop site.
