Its funny how if people keep something in the box its assumed they are only trying to collect to cash out one day. I have kept the figures in the box since i was a kid. Thats just how i like to collect them . Theres really no difference in collecting loose or MOC. different strokes for different folks. Its my collection, and i do with it what makes me the happiest.

Most of the time my MOC joes pay for my loose army!
Being a collector of both MOMC and loose figures I can see both sides. on one hand moc figures don't look as cool as a posed army or figure displayed in a action poses. Then again MOMC figures look much cleaner displayed up on a wall and hold there value better then Loose figures do. |

It's the vintage look of the packaging that makes me keep them MIB. Brings back alot of memories. I do buy some to open, but mainly they stay in pack.

I used to buy 2 of each. Then they got to hard to find and expensive. Now,i just buy 1 of each(if i can find it) and enjoy it.The thing i don't understand are army builders that collect MOC,whats the point? By collecting loose, its easier for me and my son to play with them.People would think we're strange if they seen us "playing" Joe with a bunch of packages.

as a teenager I collected figures still in the package, after realizing as an young adult I never got to enjoy them and these figures are actually not worth that much as an investment (since so many people collect in packages these days where as it wasnt so common way back when) years later, I just decided to enjoy the 25th toys and opened them up. Ive totally changed my tune, where I would keep EVERYTHING in the package, to the mindset that these are meant to be played with and enjoyed.

Thats something i've thought about too. With everybody and their momma keeping everything MOC these days.Could the market be flooded with MOC joes one day and kill there value at the same time?

I started out collecting the star wars 30th line mainly the McQuarrie collection. Boba Fett was the first toys I purchased in like 12 years. Promptly opened him up! only after the pile of loose figures started to grow, Did I start looking at MOMC collecting.
