I don't think this thread should be subject to just Joes, c'mon it's Christmas!
What are some of your best Christmas Joe or non Joe toy memories?? Getting the Renegades set along with TF Water Moc and Blizzard is up there. To this day the Water Mocasin and Blizzard are 2 of my favorite Joe items. Battle Cat--man I was having convulsions under the tree when I saw him in that window box with that incredible artwork! Centurions: Max Ray. I can still remember tearing that box open with my parents having coffee on the couch at the butt crack of the morning and freaking out over him. My fretless bass guitar. I was older at this point, I think 18. I was pretty sure I wouldnt be getting such a gift but during breakfast my mom went upstairs, came down and said "I forgot this" and handed me a gig back with my black shiny fretless Yamaha in it. Great memory.......I then proceeded to ruin everyone's holiday by playing Misfits song wrong all day long. How about you? |

Christmas 1983 was a big one for me. That year I got the Joe Headquarters, Skystriker, VAMP, HAL, HISS, FANG, Wolverine, Polar Battle Bear. My dad was friends with a guy that worked for Hasbro so I got a bunch of bagged figures. Duke, Gung-Ho, Cobra Commander etc. I look upon this day as the start of my G.I. Joe addiction! lol
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL MY FELLOW TANKERS!!!! I HOPE SANTA LEAVES SOME GOOD JOE STUFF UNDER YOUR TREE FOR YOU!!!! |

Best Joe item? Defiant... I remember waking up and finding that giant box near the tree... Wouldn't fit under it
Best ever? Circa 1989 my sister bought me a power glove. Mind, this was right when the Wizard came out....

The year I got the HQ Command center, 1983, I guess. Also got the Polar Battle Bear, Wolverine, Snow Job, Tripwire and the Lego yellow castle that year. What a great Christmas.

Ironic, I was about 12 years old when, on Christmas day, 1985, my parents got me a USS Flagg. That was the only thing I got that year, and that was okay with me. If it hadn't been for the Flagg, I probably would have been out of my Joe phase shortly thereafter. The Flagg kept me hooked for another year and a half, until I sold my collection and bought a steinberger bass. I'm still playing bass today and hope to one day have another Flagg.

Mom got me the Havoc for Christmas circa 1986. I was thrilled!
But the all-time champion is simple: I'm opening a Christmas present from my Aunt Margie in 1985. I love my Aunt Margie, but she wasn't ever a Christmas MVP. She usually didn't get me anything for Christmas, unless I'm mistaken. So I'm opening this medium-sized present from my Aunt Margie, and my heart probably literally skipped a beat: Optimus. Friggin'. Prime. Twenty-six years later, it's still the greatest, most exciting and certainly the most unexpected Christmas present I've ever received. It had never occurred to me to even hope for an Optimus Prime figure. Ever. Let along that Christmas Day. And from my Aunt Margie? |

mine would have to be the xmas when i got the hammerhead and phantom X-30. i loaded the hammerhead to the the tits with figures and set up a big battle with the phantom and what not. the downer was that i tossed the phantom's decal sheet with the box.

ok, i thought of one. not a toy though, but when she was in heat, me and my brothers would rub her back with gi joes and make her go crazy, but when i was a lil kid like 2 or 3 , i had a cat named suki oki, don't ask me why i named her that, but i loved the name for some reason, well that cat disapeared, i have no clue what happened to her. anyway, i always loved siamese cats at that age and always wanted to get one and name her suki oki. well when i was in like 1st or 2nd grade christmas morning, i heard a cat meowing under my house, i was like i hear a cat, my fam was like i don't hear shit.
so i ran in the crawl space and found a siamese already declawed kitten, man was i happy. my fam was like wtf how did you hear that? i was like don't know. at that time i thought santa was real, so i thought santa got me her. my ma worked for the town and seen if anyone was missing a siamese kitten, and no one reported it, so she let me keep her. man, i loved that cat so much, but few years later i moved to florida cause i was a troubled kid and was sent away to have a change, the cat missed me so much and started to shit in my room, when i came back she was upset and kept doing it. and at the time i was getting older and just didn't care no more, and my ma got rid of her. few years ago it hit me hard how i should of never did that and let her go. the cat was a scaredy cat and was scared of everyone but me, she was mine. i try not to think of how her life became after me, was she happy, was she a mess? it just makes me sad, and i will never turn my back on a animal again. we are together til the end. she was my favorite christmas present i ever had.
